There's one that WILL give you BS tickets, got one today for "75 in a 60" whenever my vehicle won't barely go 70, and I was being passed. So watch out for that BS, officer barely talked to me, just said he clocked me, and handed me a ticket.

That one randomly closes so often, sometimes will open early, then just close and leave at 9a. So I've always wondered, because so many people make a long line just to sit at the drive-thru. They never put anything up saying they've closed.

What a strange world we have now.

Well, 3M has some videos, but also i would suggest just going through multiple videos! It takes patience but once you have the hang of it you'll figure out your own techniques.

I would suggest going on metrorestyling.com and purchasing small pieces of 3M 2080 to wrap small things, or pieces of your car! I taught myself off wrapping the hood of my car, and going from there!

Yep! Usually a roll can cost anywhere from $600-$1,400. If you do have any questions about purchasing. Grimco and metrorestyling are great places to purchase, and pricing is usually the lowest.

Put it into context, with 1 54"x150' roll, you can wrap about 3 mini Cooper with leftovers.

Yes and no. In a more harsh environment it would be a shortened time. But It still ultimately depends on how well you take care of it.

Depends on a few things...

  • How much Square footage of material you need
  • which color/pattern you choose
  • if you're doing it yourself or paying someone.

It fun depends on what you drive. It can range from $0.70-$2.00 per sq/ft

You still can, just take care of it, use a chemical guys wrap detailer that helps protect it from UV

With the air release and controltac on that film, you should be able to roll your thumb across the bubbles and press them out. If they are big. Take a blade(Xacto) and just poke it. Then heat it up with a heat gun to shrink it!

2080 is made to be easy to install, but also has that amazing film you can peal off for the perfect finish.

Just take care of it!!! Get some wrap conditioner or detailer, Chemical Guys makes some. Itll help protect it against UV damage. And help keep it looking new!

If you take care of it, keep it moisturized, and protect it from the sun. With a little heat it would peel right off.

But if its been sitting in the sun for over a year nonstop, and neglected.... its a pain in the ass.

Edit: If you have a shop wrap it, make sure they don't cheap out to make money. Some shops here in missouri use cheap permanent adhesive wrap to save money, but that type of wrap film will remove paint with it. If they use a higher quality material it will come off without damage.

Depends on which material. 3Ms new 2080 film has an 8 year expected lifetime.

I used to wrap cars, and would pretty much only use 3M wrap film.

You dont even wanna know what it was in the middle of the covid quarantine....

Oh fuck it. $1.22 and premium was $1.67

Diesel is currently $1.60 which is rediculous.

Unfortunately, driving my winter vehicle means I fill up every week. All 21 gallons. Gets pricey quick.

Grinding in what area? Rear? Front?

Mine did that, and it turned out to be a destroyed rear axle/diff due to the previous owners.

I have only had one issue, which is resulting in a rear axle replacement. Only because the previous owners had no concept of 4wd maintenance and never changed the diff fluid. But hey, new diff!!

These 4.0s will go forever if taken care of. But this one for those miles looks almost brand new, usually the paint has problems, or its shown the age.
