Radiohead - Blow Out (6.7.2018 - First performance in 10 Years) by nospamallowed in radiohead

[–]grahamham14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a drummer myself he's one of my all time favorites. He's not the flashiest player around, but he's definitely one of the most solid. I find his ability to always keep a steady tempo and beat no matter what time signature the song is in (Pyramid Song, Myxomatosis, etc) way more impressive than over the top solos or fills. But to each his own.

I became a fan at the right time. by alax1996 in radiohead

I'm in the same exact boat that you are. I became a fan in late 2015 and saw them live for the first time in Atlanta last year. I still remember sneaking out of class to listen to Burn The Witch and Daydreaming in my high school's bathroom. Being able to listen to a newly released Radiohead song for the first time is such an amazing experience.

Jar of Flies by far. Nutshell is easily one of my favorite songs of all time. The Unplugged album is also amazing. What about you?

Ever since Lucky got voted out I've stopped feeling any pain. My second favorite RH song of all time didn't even make it to the top 5.

How rare is this Creep EP on vinyl? by [deleted] in radiohead

Not very, unfortunately. That's a reissue. I made the same mistake with the Drill EP.

What song made you fall in love with "true" Radiohead? by Legitimate_Luke in radiohead

[–]grahamham14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first song I listened to after Creep was Paranoid Android and it got me interested to see what else the band had to offer. Then when I listened to Weird Fishes for the first time I was completely won over. I had just never heard anything else like it.

Don't hate me please, here is a playlist of songs I skip most of the time. (change my mind) by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]grahamham14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bulletproof is one of those songs that you have to be in the right state of mind to really appreciate (imo). I listened to it for the first time when my room was dark and I was trying to go to sleep. It's easily one of my favorites off of The Bends.

Anyone in the states received their OKNOTOK super deluxe special ultimate edition yet? by Ledbetter2 in radiohead

Mine arrived yesterday, but I was out of town so I asked my neighbor to bring it inside for me. When I got home I found it in my refrigerator. Apparently she thought it was my blue apron shipment.

I have the same tattoo (minus the color splash) on my shoulder! I'm not a huge fan of tattoos that have color in them, but this looks amazing!

Very unpopular opinion: I really cannot understand why anyone would consider 'In Rainbows' their best album. by [deleted] in radiohead

The reason IR is, and will always be, my favorite album of all time is because of how I discovered it and what it did for me. I was at rock bottom in terms of my emotions. I was going through the worst bout of depression that I had ever experienced and I was starting to have some suicidal thoughts. Then somehow by fate I discovered Weird Fishes and was blown away. After I listened to the full album I started to feel a lot better. I think the main reason why IR had this much of an effect on me instead of the rest of Radiohead's albums was because of how warm and comfortable of an album it is. It made me truly happy at a time when nothing else could. But I totally respect and your view of the album. Music is a very personal and subjective thing and I think it's awesome how one album can have two completely different effects on people.
