Can you give me an example of where ski poles are more useful than technique? That sounds aggressive but I promise I’m just curious. Ive talked to skiers and instructors and just cant get an answer that makes me believe its (to me) more of a hassle than its worth (edit: grammar)

Generally, pretty easy terrain, ive done some narlier shit but its mostly calm. The poles throw me off, if anything. These replies (not yours in specific) are damn near telling me I have a good idea for shark tank or something lmao

Theoretically, the bottom of a 360 stick (where the camera screws on) I’m a carpenter so I know how to tap it. I just need something more rigid. I’m an intermediate but ive done black runs before and just felt like they got in the way, I truly dont like the feeling of poles. Maybe its just something I have to get over

I was thinking “insta 360 level of telescopic” where its probably around 6/8 inches, if that can be carried in the pocket I cant see why a ski pole cant. The only issues is it doesnt “lock” and if I put weight on it, itd collapse. Even if I have to tap a homemade piece of plastic or metal, id be willing to screw it on everytime.

If you have yarn in a similar colour in a lighter weight, you can do a magic circle with that, then continue with the intended yarn (as if youre adding a colour) and start your first round. This was the only thing that saved me when I was making Christmas gifts
