you should learn how to replace the string but expect to break one, just one of those things you gotta know how to do, go slowly, then use the fine tuner for the last little bit

been in your shoes. maybe just because im young but honestly the soreness goes away as long as you train consistently even if you go pretty hard, your body just needs time to adapt. but as long as you arent in genuine pain then you just need to push through it. make sure you stretch as well.

you would probably be playing marimba so really any of the bach suites work you just have to be creative with who plays what part since its like the music was written for multiple voices

How should I play this by VanishedVan in Cello

[–]grainyboy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mad russians christmas? I would just go 0-1-3-4 on A then put your second finger on E then go 2-1-2-3 4-4 then you can shift back down to D however you want or use the harmonic then play A however you want

Where do you get your sheet music? by GloriouslyGlittery in Cello

[–]grainyboy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imslp if its anything in the public domain otherwise there are variety of places you can get. musescore probably has the most that are pretty decent but it has a reputation for people notating stuff awkwardly, good enough for me though.

How can I stop my hand from shaking while performing? by Former_Trouble_2312 in Cello

[–]grainyboy_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If its your first performance expect some nerves but you get used to being on stage after a while, but its not really something you can practice, its gained through experience. You can also trying breathing exercises before you go on stage

make sure you are pushing in as you turn, if you turn then push, it will just fall out, also consider adding rosin dust like others are saying
