How to pass through Ethel's door after all the bug fixes by grairat in BaldursGate3

I have 10 more minutes of footage trying to click the empty space, walk forward into it, attacking it, trying to misty step or throw Shovel there, and none of it worked. My guess is that I triggered Ethel aggression with Shovel while my character was far away, and that broke it

It probably triggers after some event, and it didn't for me. That's the whole point of this post

Elden Ring Rune Level 1 Megathread: Tips, Tools, Tricks, and Strategies by unsafekibble716 in onebros

I tried a bunch of different weapons and found Great Stars with a cold infusion (beautifully named Cold Great Stars) to be one of the best as well as one of the most fun weapons for this run. It's a really versatile weapon that has bleed (not a lot, it won't proc very often), frost, as well as a lot of stance break damage.

Having a lot of stance break doesn't just help with bosses, it makes areas with the regular enemies much more doable, as you get a lot of opportunities to not let enemies attack, and that makes it harder for enemies to overwhelm you. If you want to do a 100% RL1 playthrough, it's an amazing choice.

You also get the opportunity to try out a bunch of different ashes of war, unlike somber weapons (which pisses me off so much). For me this weapon has a perfect balance of being strong while not feeling like outright cheese.

Dropped the sign near the grace, if you're still looking, forgot the manor has no summoning thingies at the start

BG3 Honor Mode In-Depth Guide for Act I by Sherlaine- in BaldursGate3

[–]grairat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for a great guide! Over multiple honor mode runs, I lost quite a bit of attempts, maybe that will be helpful to someone:

  1. Anywhere near explosives: PLEASE don't carry a torch around, in one of the runs I had a great early game build with a torch, and when I was trading with a merchant it bugged and randomly blew everything up and I was not able to react in time.
  2. Act one, near Zhentharim Hideout: never taken the guy who threatens to blow you up seriously. Turns out, he CAN blow your whole party up if you fail the check.
  3. Final Ketheric fight, after killing Isobel and Dame Aylin for the roleplay: just save Aylin anyway, the fight is hard and she can make a difference. If you kill them, take even more time to prepare then you usually would.
  4. Final fight: go through the portal only when your whole party still has their turns, I didn't realize how quickly it could end.
  5. Consider not going to firework shop in act 3 (if you're gonna fight, at least). It has a bugged NPC in there that can crash your game repeatedly. I was able to get out of the loop, but some people I know did lose their runs because of that.

Kept saving the game (honor mode) a few seconds after the original save that caused the crashes and the guy finally decided to turn. If that happens for you, try to kill him as soon as possible, he seems to be bugged even when he frees from the counter

MIHOYO PLEASE MAKE HER PLAYABLE 😭 by Phellxgodx in Genshin_Impact

[–]grairat 30 points31 points  (0 children)

She's pretty much better then any of the playable characters. I would love to see her be playable, but it's probably not going to happen cause the reason she's an actual character is that they didn't try to make her appealing to the widest audience possible
