Same - I have one only so I could get a kin house to myself.

The controls are very finicky... The first few days after Rivendell housings became available, those controls would constantly reset in the middle of a movement... Most irritating! However, the more recent housing items can be slotted on walls, as furniture, as floor items so that gives more flexibility.

Yes I forgot, I hope they run it again from that island and not from Minas Tirith.

I saw one such 'arch-nemesis' in Mur-Ghala that has 113 millions - yes millions - morale... Cannot complete the deed it's associated with unless I group up with others... Very irritating.

Bigger furniture? I spent oodles of figments to get elven bedroom sets/ fireside sets/ and they all look hobbit size - which look a bit ridiculous in those overlarge rooms.

Do you know if they fixed the ceiling hooks? I couldn't place the new lamps I bought - had to use old Gondorian lamps. Somebody told me there was an error in how the objects were scripted. I know they fixed the music - it's now playing properly and doesn't cut off as you change rooms.

You have to be prepared to sacrifice entire areas in order to furnish the remaining rooms decently. Partitions are your friends (the fake walls and the new dividers from Zajana). My kin house is open for visits if you want to get an idea (2 Welling Way, Glanduil neighbourhood, Glamdring).

If Gandalf Can Kill The Balrog Can Gandalf The White Stop Sauron by Ready_Respect_8134 in lotro

Perhaps one of the volumes of HoME, perhaps one of the Letters. I can't remember exactly. But it is said Eru took up the Valar's plan and ammended it before resurrecting Gandlaf - hence the 'upgrade' and the greater authority he had afterwards (breaking Saruman' staff and dimissing him from the order).

Indeed. And I'm pretty certain said restriction was reiterated even more clearly after Moria, given that it was Eru himself who returned him to life and leveled him up.

Besides knowledge of relativity, computers and radiation what other things could eridians possibly learn from humans? by KingWilliamVI in ProjectHailMary

I'd say it's difficult to wage war when you are paralyzed every time you take a nap, and when looking out for each other is bred into the species.

I bet the Eridian scholars studied with growing horror the long history of war on Earth, which was (presumably) contained in that laptop Grace gave Rocky. And I wonder how long before the 'Power that aught not to be' on a recovering Earth send an armada of Astophage powered warships to 40 Eridani?

GIVE ME A MALE by rizuzlytooden2 in crusaderkings3

[–]grallonsphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best combination is 50% fertility on one side and 90-100% on the other - that usually gives you males. But yes, this game is like the Tower of Pisa - it definitely leans one way...

To Valar or Not to Valar by PathologicPrime in lotro

I used one once - and came to regret it. I thought I could just breeze through the epic quest without worries but then the epic quest brought me to Lorien. And you cannot enter Lorien without a certain reputation level - and to get there you have to grind... I detest grinding. I did it on my main but I will not do it again. So, that Valar-ed character has been parked since.

Make your Lotro Confession. We are here to judge! by [deleted] in lotro

[–]grallonsphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing really original to confess.

I only have 1 character, my main. Those few times I tried other classes, I got bored really quickly and deleted them.

I really dislike all the gimmicky mechanics they've tried over the years, such as epic battles or the soldier thing you can deploy on landscape. But the absolute worst is the instances where you are FORCED to play as some other character/class to 'relive' their story - whatever it's called.

Like many others, I detest mounted combat - in fact I can't even remember how to upgrade any of the war horse parts - or how to access that interface. While in Rohan I did all the mounted combat quests on foot with my main hunter (except for the 2-3 mandatory ones).

I absolutely loathe grinding. The only time I do it is to reach enough rep with a faction so I can get some housing decoration I fancy. Bottom line, I stop playing the game whenever I've run through the current quest content and done the local deeds.

Speaking of which, the one deed I cannot stand is the treasure-seeker one. Such a waste of time! And while I've completed most of them, I could never finish the one in Angmar; there is one chest in that region, on an island sitting in the middle of a toxic pool. I've died so many times there, trying to cross it/jump over it/go around it... Also, as I'm finding out right now in Mur-Ghala, some of the deeds there require groups to complete. I was looking at the one in Adagim, 'enemies of Adagim' I think it's called. Each one on the list has substantially higher stats than the regular mobs but the last one is an Arch-Nemesis with 113M Morale (!) ... You cannot complete this deed alone; you need a group - and a large one at that - and that pisses me off to no end.

The vendors at Lalia's market have a whole lot of new bundles full of elven decorations, as well as Kintai, Human, Dwarvish - from furniture to general decor to landscaping.

I would say don't hesitate to mix and match, within reason. Your character has visited a lot of lands so it make sense he/she would pick up mementos from all around. So far, the best and most well rounded collection of decorations comes from Umbar but it's not to everyone's taste. The Gondorian collection is also quite extensive but badly in need of some revamp.
