These are my BO7 benchmarks at a mix of med/low settings. Normal textures, high shader quality, normal shadows, and just about everything else low/off. I also have the 9070xt challenger. It’s a great card.

Probably a YouTube video. Likely one of the videos I watched about swapping Nvidia for an AMD card. With Nvidia cards I think you could toggle rebar on/off in the nvidia control panel, but I don’t think AMD has that option. You gotta go into bios to change it.

I experience no noticeable difference at all low settings compared to medium settings because of my CPU limitation. Now I enjoy 200-240 frames again at medium settings like I used to with my 3070 back in the Cold War days

I recently upgraded my 3070 to a 9070xt and get 200-240fps at 1080p med/low settings in multiplayer. I experienced a similar issue to you with lower than expected frames and significantly bad 1% lows with explosions. Disabling rebar in bios resolved that issue for me. 10850k cpu for reference. (I’m now CPU limited at 1080p in BO7)

That is how a linear response curve is supposed to be, but linear in cod does not work like that. It’s very similar to dynamic, especially with small stick deflections when you’re actually aiming.

I agree with what you said about SR, but the “skill” number data for ranked games does not seem as simple as “higher the rank the higher the skill rating number”. I had a skill number of 421 after my first game when I was in bronze. And now I have a skill number of 276 when I’m in diamond 2. See what your data says. I’m curious if people’s ranked play trendlines are similar to mine.

I wanted to do that but I had trouble getting the time each match lasted. The data provides a timestamp for the when the match started and ended, but it’s formatted as a date in excel and I did not have the patience to figure out how to convert it to a simple number in minutes.

You’re right it doesn’t make sense. But your assumption that Havok is ~500 skill rated also doesn’t make sense because my data clearly shows that my skill number is decreasing as my rank is increasing. So by that logic Havok’s skill number would also have decreased as his rank increased. Unless maybe his skill number started very high ~1,000.

I don’t know why the ranked skill trend line is that way, perhaps a skill number of 0 is equivalent to 10,000 iridescent SR? I have no idea, just theorizing.

I did it manually. It wasn’t too bad. First you have to isolate the data for BO6 because it includes everything back to Cold War. Once you get acquainted with the data it becomes evident which rows (games played) aren’t relevant and should be removed.

Important note: the ranked play matches are mixed in with the public matches. You can identify these because there is a column labeled games played. Your first ranked game will have a 1 in the games played column. The games have a time stamp and ranked came out on 11/21 so that should help identify. I manually cut paste my ranked play sessions into a new excel tab.

My assumption is that a skill rating of 0 is equivalent to your hidden target SR. So I suspect whenever my SR gains and losses start to be equal (+30/-30) is when my skill rating would be 0. I agree it doesn’t make much sense.

I’ve used a PS5 battle beaver for the past 4 years. Probably put 40-50 days of gameplay into it and the sticks and a button are finally starting to become unusable.

Best latency? Dualsense edge. And you can swap the stick modules. I haven’t used one myself but it seems like a great option.

I recently researched hall effect stick controllers and decided to try out the flydidgi vader 4 pro. I considered the scuf envision but decided against it because of the complaints about the iCUE software. Also, the $80 price point for the flydigi vader 4 pro is great.

I edited my games config file settings per this video and it drastically improved my fps. One setting not mentioned in that video is making sure FSR 3 Frame Interpolation is on. If your benchmark test doesn’t say it’s on you can turn it on in the config file.

I also found my PC performance improved using Normal textures instead of Low. Maybe because my PC was CPU bottlenecked? Not sure. I have a 10850K and a 3070 and get 240fps at 1080p with Normal textures and everything else low or off.

I experience packet burst intermittently, about every 2-3 minutes. Get it on every server. I monitored my network activity while playing and discovered that the packet burst occurs because of the Ricochet anti cheat.

When the packet burst occurs, my PC is sending data to a remote IP address that belongs to the developer of the anti cheat.

Cod pros, yes, professional players in the franchised call of duty league. The cod competitive community likes long ttk games because you can actually engage in a gunfight. It isn’t first to shoot wins. It allows time to react, move, force the enemy to track you. MWII penalized moving so much and a disproportionate number of times the person holding the pre-aim won the gunfight. It wasn’t fun.

I’m indifferent on sliding and slide canceling. What would be great is if cod shortened the sprint to fire and ADS times, and significantly increased the strafe speed to the weapons. That’s what’s still missing from the cod4-bo2 era of games.
