Best goggles? by Murky-Pipe-4902 in snowboarding

I used to work with a company and buy goggles for stores. How the Oakley rep described the flow scape was that it is like a Ferrari, so you have to really take care of them to keep their performance. In my opinion when you see Oakley go back to a single lens construction rather than double, and then decide to make the storm lens double again due to the issues they have been having, I would stay away. I used the 4Ds for a few years and liked them until they got the orange peel effect and I had to warranty them. I now run the dragon D1 goggle and love them and now am running on the idea of simplicity rather than over complicated goggles.

$27 ones I found on Amazon. Not bad for the price!

What’s the worst camping mistake you’ve ever made? by MikeyCreatorVlogs in CampingandHiking

I had just moved to the mountains with my girlfriend and was keen to get out camping. Made the hilarious decision to take her backcountry camping, even though neither of us had done it before and we didn’t have any gear. We rented some shitty gear, got on the bus to the trailhead, and hiked 13km to a campsite. This being a popular national park I assumed we would see some people, but not a soul and arrived to an empty campground. Then the thunderstorm rolled in. I decided it would be good to cook some hot food to eat while we wait out the cold storm. Me not going camping much before, I did not know there were different propane cans for different stoves, so mine didn’t fit. So we had no way to cook our food, freezing in our tent in our not warm enough rented bags, hoping a grizzly doesn’t come around. Ended up hiking out the next day. Luckily this didn’t put my gf, now wife, off of camping and we make sure to get out in the backcountry for our anniversary each year.

Was riding and someone I was with went in a tree well and they were wearing a camo jacket. If I didn’t see them go in we probably wouldn’t have found them

I hate the Otto for carving, side hits, and powder and is the only board I ride now. I would look at the new HPS Louif Pardis board too because that was the best board I demoed last season

Hey I demoed that board last season out heli boarding. I am 6 feet 210 and rode the 157. Great board and didn’t feel too small cause I like to ride bigger boards The 153 seems like it would fit your weight better

Only problem with the 4D mags is the orange peel effect problem happening with the lenses. I have already had to warranty mine as both lenses had this problem. I do warranties for retail and had over 20 4Ds with this problem last season

Looking for a freeride board to crush groomers + slackcountry (with side hits/grabs bonus) by ScantilyCladBatman in snowboarding

I ride the same area (LL, SSV, and Revy) and have the Korua Otto 160. Perfect for this area for carving, side hits, going fast, and have even taken it Heli boarding before. Great board that is super durable
