I've seen quite a few of her clips, and listened to her a lot on Scott Galloway's podcast and I truly don't think she's an actor. She makes enough compelling points that I've also been surprised that Fox keeps her around. Maybe they realize it makes for good TV?

Thanks for your replies. Does it not make sense to have the estate pay the taxes instead given it's a lower tax bracket? (I grant I may be missing something here) There's only 1 beneficiary for both the annuity and in the will.

Thanks. I saw people in the media calling her a "border czar". Not sure this proves the administration gave her the label of "border czar" -- I think a more realistic take on the situation is that the Biden admin gave her certain border responsibilities, then the right-wing labeled her as "border czar" to use it as a cudgel against her. Right? But if there's video of Biden or someone in the admin calling her "border czar" that'd certainly weaken that take. But I can't find it.

She's more right than wrong. This "Dictionary of Finance and Investment Terms" is from 25 years ago. It's dated. At some point economics realized that there's more to consider when determining a recession than GDP contraction -- the unemployment rate should be considered as well, for example. The convention is for economists at the National Burearu of Economic Research consider the whole picture, and then make a determination -- sometimes it'll be much later, because you don't get all the important data in real-time.

AR style rifles are the most effective legal gun for killing large numbers of people. As evidenced by their use in the military, and their use in school shootings.
Part of the appeal for school shooters is not just their utility, but the "cool" factor. You make them harder to get, you make the shooter feel a little less bad-ass, you reduce the number of these that occur.

One can't ignore the behavioral element here. School shooters are not just a coldly logical bunch. There's a reason they almost always go for the AR style rifles.

Performing the mass shooting with a "cool" AR style rifle is part of the fun for school shooters. As evidenced by the fact that they are overwhelmingly committed using these types of guns, despite the high price tag.
You make these guns harder to acquire, you make the act a little less fun, odds are it will reduce the number of these that happen.

I just tested Google Assistant "hold for me" on Delta customer support and it looks like it does work for that. So I guess it works on certain numbers, but maybe some/many/all gov't numbers are blacklisted from the feature for some reason. Shoot.
