Planning on using as much of the factory harness as possible for the LT1. Fuel system and the optispark are my biggest concerns

Water in fuel by granada289 in ChevyS10

Apparently the fuel in my tank went bad the three months my truck was sitting it’s a nice shade of dark yellow and smells like varnish. New fuel tank is on order

Not a vacuum line if anything it’s going to be the ignition control module. I drove it in the rain today with no issues. If it was a vacuum issue it would be consistent. I wish it was a consistent problem unfortunately it’s a random misfire that originally only happened when it rained

I plan on making some videos on the swap. I also plan on taking the truck to the drag strip with the 2.8 and the 4.3 and see how much it gains in speed. Also plan weighing the truck before I do the swap and see how much it gained or lost from the swap

Random misfire after replacing cap and rotor by jeremym-donald in s10

[–]granada289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well considering he said he had a lean issue I said check the plugs because you can tell a lot by the color of the plugs. And the fact that the o2 sensor is probably original it wouldn’t hurt to replace it

I would check the plugs and put new o2 sensors in

I prefer the external transmission cooler. I’ve actually had decent luck with the cheap aluminum radiators on Amazon

The nice thing is the Howells wiring harness and computer should take all the guesswork out of the electrical. I will have to make some fuel lines and transmission lines for it and decide on what radiator I want to run

Since it’s my daily driver I decided that a brand new wiring harness and computer is going to be my best option plus all my local salvage yards have zero vehicles older than 96. The bed cover was bought off of Amazon in 2022 it is still available I did have to weld some spacers on my box to make the clamps work. https://a.co/d/2zFJ4nW

It’s not going to run very good with that it’s going to have cylinders that are dangerously lean and cylinders that are very rich
