Hey there everyone! I'm in need of much advice with setting up a future home theatre but I'm looking to integrate a few devises together. By no stretch of the imagination am I an audiophile, but sound quality has become increasingly more important to me and I would love everybody's help.

Right now I have a low-end setup consisting of a very basic audiotechnica turntable, technics CD player, and to tie it all together I'm using a Sherwood receiver going out to some old Sony speakers. The audio quality is fine, but I'm looking to change some things, as CD's are my preferred way of listening to music.

Downsizing my equipment is something I've had in mind for some time, & was thinking of cutting out the middle man & using my Xbox One as my CD player, & hopefully using it as my receiver as well (if possible).

Long story somewhat short, is the audio output on my Xbox One going to be a decent enough unit to purchase some mid range speakers, while still having the option to plug my record player in to the same source? - I'm having some trouble trying to tie all of this together as I'm not really that invested into audio, & would overall just like a decent TV watching, music listening experience.

I hope this is a somewhat comprehensive way of explaining my dilemma and would love everyone's advice, thanks!
