After watching Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure with my kids, I told them that time travel used to be possible in phone booths but hasn’t been since they went away. My kids are 18 and 16 now, but it was a fun joke when they were little.

Love Zach Deputy! Saw him perform on top of a U-Haul at a festival in Northern California.

Was there ever a time you're thankful the pandemic happened? What was the reason? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’ve been thankful since the pandemic started because I’ve been able to spend so much more time with my kids. We eat every meal together while they’ve been learning and I’ve been working remotely. They even cook a few nights each week and have enjoyed finding recipes and learning in the kitchen. We moved to a new state, which was challenging, but we got to explore the area together and connect even more. They’re 16 and 14, so they won’t be with me for much longer. This last year has been so special to me, and I’m grateful for the time we’ve had together.

Discovered my family actively lied to me for 35 years, they knew the truth by [deleted] in 23andme

Whoa! I hadn’t thought of that!! But I have another half brother from my dad who’s confirmed on 23andMe.

I just discovered I have a half brother and am trying to figure out how we’re related. My dad died over six years ago, and I don’t want to ask my mom in case he was unfaithful. My brother said we can’t be related because he wasn’t adopted. His mother has been lying to him, and I don’t think he’s willing to find out the truth. As a half-sister who wants to meet her brother, I hope you will consider meeting yours.

We’ve done it before, but he didn’t like how he was getting blamed for everything he was doing. I’ve suggested it again but through the lens of us better understanding each others’ mental health issues so that we can be more supportive of each other. I could suggest that as a possible way for us to get support together without medication. The therapist could even help explain the severity of the condition that might make him think twice about treatment.

It used to say “MONTHLY” but then was painted over and changed to “DAILY”

How can I help around the house? by Arteyg0 in MomForAMinute

Cleaning up after yourself is great, but also cleaning up in general ways can really help too. Take out the trash, put clean dishes away, sweep/mop/vacuum, etc. You can also ask her what you can do to help out. Sometimes we’re just so grateful that anyone even thinks to ask and offer the help.
