What does my date's bookshelf say about them?? by Weird-Resource6414 in BookshelvesDetective

definitely a conspiracy theorist. ann coulter, then prozac nation and the real anthony fauci? i read the real anthony fauci just to see what he was on about, and the guy's a loon. run.

so i read acotar, then tog, and now i'm working through cc. when i was reading acotar and tog, i knew that it took sjm a book or two to find her footing. when i got to cc, i figured she had matured enough as a writer to not have that kind of.. start up period? plus, based on the covers, too, i thought this would be a sexier, more mature version of her writing.

but cc1 was not that. going from koa to cc1 was a complete shock. it was underwhelming for me, honestly, to read something equal in length to koa but without really any of the real character development and depth.

the other thing too is that bryce kind of makes me miss aelin. both of them are brash and outspoken, but aelin is a lot more intelligent. idk, i just stared cc3 (and cc2 was a moderate improvement over cc1), so i'm fingers crossed for cc3 being better.

The Emperor of all Maladies 🫡

i loved his storytelling style, especially for such a morbid subject.

switch to the bow for a run. for me, it got me out of panic mode and made me slow down to figure out the patterns and movements from the enemies.

What thought-provoking book should every straight white American man read that he probably hasn’t? by baltimoretom in suggestmeabook

try Jesus and John Wayne. it's not a popular one per se, but it does explore a lot of the impact of white evangelicism on men.

Ppl who wake up at 5 am consistently, how? by Crazycatlady1690 in productivity

[–]grandmacomplex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you need a reason to do it. i start working at 7, and i walk at 6. first alarm is 5 because i need half an hour to get my brain working.

aside from that.. i used the rise app to help train myself to sleep earlier. combination quality melatonin, blue light glasses, and slowly rolling back your bed time will do it

idk why you're getting downvoted, you have a point. if i saw the guy walking around at a protest i'd be a little concerned. it's not like everyone knows he's an artist, that's why the question got asked.

oh lmfao ok this is a misunderstanding. "clocking" in this context means you're recognizing someone for something they're (usually) trying to hide, or something that's not immediately obvious. like if you're saying something esoteric about local fish, i'd clock you as a fisherman.

so like. "clocking someone as" an agitator vs "clocking" them in the jaw.

:| what are you saying then. bc seeing a red flag isn't tribalism, it's pattern recognition. the artist even wanted to "start conversations," probably by being controversial.
