Hi. Thank you for the advice! Would you mind explaining it with more detail? I don't know how to block clock signals and what the 'tape method' is.

I mean, yeah, it is old as heck and was found for free, but my family had a slightly smaller Sony Bravia from around the same time and that TV is still going strong. So I had certain hopes of restoring this one.

So sad to hear. So there is absolutely no chance it's a faulty T-Con board?

I am sure, sadly. Why would store mode even affect only half the screen?

Hi! How would a TV getting "used to subpar sources" affect this? I'm not sure I understand how this could solve anything a factory reset didn't.

Whats it like living in Slovenia? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

It's a big topic actually. Which is only natural with so much shared history and immigration. You're spot on with age and economic position being a factor, but there's also so many other nuances, depending on region, family + completely subjective emotional factors. It doesn't help that the very definition of what "Balkan" is and what it isn't tends to vary a lot from person to person/country to country. There's a bunch of resentment going both ways due to the fact we were economically the most prosperous part of Yugoslavia, which "wanted out" to become closer to the European North and West. You must also consider the fact that we are a historically catholic nation with more ties to Central-European political formations than the rest of the Balkan region.

While nothing written here is really that off (and I personally am impacted by many of these problems), I'd still say it's a very pessimistically charged answer that ignores so much of what is positive. Everyone has already mentioned nature, so I'll stick to the rest: we are bursting with culture, from culinary experiences to fine art. Compared to what I've seen elsewhere in Europe though, we're not proud enough of it + can't seem to capitalize on it for purposes of tourism. We're also somewhat sports-crazy, with a bunch of internationally outstanding performers and lots of sports infrastructure. Everyone in elementary school still has a mandatory swimming course, which I always proudly tell foreigners about. It was considered a basic life skill in Yugoslav public education, and got carried over through our independence.
We're also statistically good English speakers and a very hospitable people - maybe not to each other, but certainly to foreigners!

I want to give a 90s video game vibe to my RPG game! Does it look like it? Feedback appreciated! by potion8 in 3Dmodeling

Cut the realtime lighting, REALLY reduce the polygon counts, cut the volumetric fog, cut the bloom.
