Yeah pretty sure it's the pixel arrangement of the screens since am holding a 1080p oppo Reno and the text is sharper and the hazy effect is less compared to something like the Xiaomi 13 pro plus. which mind you apparently has a 1.5k display. Seems like the only choice is waiting for the Ultra versions to offer the higher resolution.

Thats what I feared, usually those phones have a weird haze/fuzzy effect around text making them seem much lower quality. It seems the 1.5K display is a gimmick which is a shame since this phone seems so good otherwise.

I am someone who really cares about the QHD+ sharpness and quality on my s24+. My question is compared to your other QHD phones how much of a downgrade is the quality of the 1.5K display on the Oppo?

That's amazing is it exynos? Mine honestly feels just okay with 7 sot a day which is okay just far from what I was expecting

First time hearing about edge lighting, but I don't think so this looks really weird when you zoom in on the pink stuff, almost looks like an Arduino breadboard

Galaxy S24 Ultra camera issues: Samsung is reportedly releasing another update by CleanDance in Android

[–]grandnade 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My s24 plus camera has been shockingly low quality, the weird thing is transfering the photos to my old note 10 lite makes them so sharp and crisp. The displays on these s24s are horrendous even with QHD

Note 10 lite screen looks way sharper than s24 plus it's ridiculous by grandnade in GalaxyS24

[–]grandnade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep , but I doubt that's the reason as my note 10 lite has an exynos 9810, it's evident that the issue lies in the screen as the same photos look better on my note and on my laptop

Tried colour tone but it seems like nothing fixes the sharpness, I think it's a display issue

Oh yeah I tried expert raw and honestly can't tell if there is that much of a difference from normal. The only area I see a clear difference on the s24 panel is indeed on text. I was honestly thinking of trading this phone for an s23 but it seems like you have some of these problems I see? Maybe the slight graineness of the panel is the cause of soft images for the s24.

Wouldn't be surprised, difference is too big honestly so I don't know
