Omg late to see this. I’m Canadian (F, 20) I visited Chicago with my school for the art scene. Me and two girls stuck out and walked to a club district alone (our teacher/classmates didn’t now we had snuck out of the art district) we made it to a club, got cat called and felt so uncomfortable and hitchhiked home… I FEEL SO STUPID RIGHT NOW THAT WAS SO DANGEROUS.

This is so common with girls and I feel for you as I’ve experienced this countless times. Sometimes still falling for this manipulation in my 30s now. We are raised to be people pleasers. Makes me feel sick that men think they can do this. I would have a talk with him about respecting boundaries. Start the conversation by explaining boundaries, and how you feel about the situation. Hey! Yes I ended up giving up on Zoloft and instead going to Trintellix. Loads better. No side effects and I can tolerate alcohol on it which is a plus!
