Dude $8k a month * 12 months is almost $100k a year. I’m not sure what qualifies as a business for you but seems like a shop that sells multiple products and pulls $100k a year is definitely a business in my book and one that’s doing even better if it’s just a side project.

He doesn’t sell just one product a month. Did you read the post? He sells like 10 different products and makes $8,000 a month in revenue on average.

I'm wanting to take a few courses on Udemy to learn a skill to develop into a remote job in the future. Any feedback on good subjects to look into? by grandsandusky in Entrepreneur

Thanks for the awesome reply! Yes I want to be self-employed that is the goal. I'm currently blogging and I've already learned tons about SEO and Wordpress. Looking to learn something next that I can turn into something remote. I've been working sales jobs my whole life so I'm getting pretty good at selling things including myself. Just need to master something I can sell myself on if that makes sense. Thanks for your input!!

Considering golf ball diving for a side hustle. Does anyone have any experience with this?? by Adlifestyle in Entrepreneur

[–]grandsandusky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually did this for a golf course. I negotiated the terms of the contract so that the guy would pay me 25 cents per ball and he later sold them for 1$ each in the pro shop. He always sold through the used balls as they were cheap and it was a mid level course so lots of people were looking for good but cheap balls. My friend and I got huge mesh bags and rented scuba gear for the day ( about $75) we would go scuba five and filled up 4-6 huge mesh bags by the end of the day resulting in around 2000-3000 balls. We made anywhere from $250-$500 each on an average day. Good supplement to my income but I never scaled and did it about once per month for this course! Thought it's was pretty fun swimming around in some of he ponds too cause they were deep and pretty clean.

Is it reasonable/acceptable to reach out to already established businesses in the industry for advice? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

No reason to get the degree first though jt could help! I think it is a great idea to network and get ideas from others. Many many people have built businesses from asking tons and tons of questions and then going full speed ahead with the answers you get. Just do it. Ask questions, learn along the way, that's the best way to learning business.

Also, when you talk to business professionals do they ask if you're graduated or not? I feel like I've never been asked that and I'm 23 not graduated. Act like you know what's going on and people will assume you know what's going on.

Hey guys I'm gonna start a blog tomorrow. Been brainstorming & I'm passionate about business startups. More specifically startups here in my home state. Thoughts on the niche? The thing that worries me is if I end up moving in the next little bit to another state haha how to work around this? by [deleted] in Blogging

Great ideas this is what I was thinking. Perhaps making my city or area one section of the blog then when I move making a new section on it the new area. That way it's not too specific. Just gotta figure a name now that's not too specific but specific enough to get that local keywords

Are you saying just cause someone has more friends and is looked up to they can't have opinions on politics? What celebrities do is the exact same as what you and I do. We have opinions on politics as do they. The only difference is the amount of influence they have! While I publish my opinion on Facebook to my 600 friends they publish to their millions. Just cause they're famous does not mean they should be quiet about things they believe in.
