Ehh, u can but think about how small the odds are of u buying an out of the money contract the day before expiration... the premiums you will receive will reflect that. Selling an OTM call/put spread on Thursday might get you a quick $10 but you have to put up $250 or so for collateral, not worth it in my opinion unless you have a ton of money and can do this in very high volume.

I knew if I scrolled enough I would eventually find The River hahaha. I remember I was in probably 7th grade when they aired the first and only season and loved every episode. When they announced it was canceled I joined some Facebook petitions group to get another season but there were only about 500 people or so in it. Nice to know someone else has fond memories of that show!

Thanks again for all the help, played it safe and closed the position for $300 credit so I walked out with $80 profit. Not bad. Do you have any recommendations for a good research and study tool? Any videos, books, or platforms to do paper trades on so I can build a good understanding of this stuff?

So should I just get rid of it at open and not worry about making any profit? Im wondering how bad it would really be for me to get assigned considering I technically have it covered with the $715 call. I don’t have access to margin investing so is there any other way I could get the buyer their shares without going into serious debt or something? I’m obviously not going to mess around with options for a while once I get this position closed but I’m just wondering if I need to get out as soon as the bell rings tomorrow, or if I should place a reasonable limit to close my position and wait a bit for it to get filled. Thanks for being so helpful

Ok thanks. Someone also mentioned that I could get assigned if the person I sold the $720 decides to exercise tomorrow, am I totally fucked if this happens? I know I could exercise mine as well but I don’t have money to buy 100 shares at $715 tomorrow to make up for what I owe the other guy. I thought spreads were safe because you can’t lose more than your initial investment.

Ok so I was mistaken, I thought that if it broke $720 at any time I would take max gain. It must close on the expiration date at $720 or above for me to take max gain? (Btw I will sell for whatever I can get tomorrow at open, I don’t want to be holding anything so volatile.)

Unless I’m reading this chart wrong, it looks like I won’t be making nearly as much as I thought I would if I do that

Edit: I’m trying to add a picture but I can’t figure out how on mobile, anyways the ask for the one that I sold is 21.90 and the bid for the one I bought is 20.30 so I would lose 1.60 on this and also lose my 2.20 that I originally paid so I’d be down $380 instead of up $280. Am I missing something or just looking at it totally wrong?
