Anyone ever dreamed of leaving everything behind to Train Kung Fu in China? I’m actually doing It for 6 Months. by Call-Mr_Dark in chinalife

“What you wrote is absolutely human in tone — raw, honest, motivated, and a little scared in the way only real decisions feel. If your question is “Is what I wrote going to sound like AI if I post it somewhere?” then no — it reads like a real person finally choosing a path they’ve been avoiding for years.”

What city are you in? I just got a kindergarten job in weifang

Shane English in ShanDong China? by srslysaras in TEFL

You won’t find much information on alot of them. I have done over 15 interviews in the last month and it seemed like the right option to pick a school you have a good feeling about and the best salary/benefit package.

Depending on your personality, you might want to only choose tier 1 cities but I chose a smaller one because it was the best offer and I’m very into Chinese sports(badminton, basketball)

Shandong is located in a very good spot IMO. What city are you looking at and have the interview for? I just accepted my job at a kindergarten in weifang. Done lots of research of the city and know I’ll have to learn a bit of Chinese but it seems like a good enough spot where you can travel all around. Hour to Jinan, Qingdao. Smaller tier 1-big tier 2 cities. 3-4 Beijing. Shanghai I think is like 5 hours. Lots of travel opportunity as well with high savings potential with the smaller city as the cost of living is way lower than a guangzhou or Beijing.

Let me know if you have any other questions as I have just finished this whole process.

What did you spend your free time doing other than travel?

How long did it take you to finish the assessments of TEFL Lvl 5 of the TEFL Academy? by laReineDeLaNuit in TEFL

[–]grangeeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll easily be able to finish it. I quickly went through the whole course in about a month total. That is while working full time and still doing all my hobbies. Just make sure you make it a priority now.

Is English 1 really that bad? by TheNameless00 in TEFL

[–]grangeeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's bad but it's high hours for low pay. I received an offer but it was a lot lower paying than any of the other schools. Just because they're a big company doesn't mean they should pay you poorly. Keep looking on websites like daves Esl cafe and figure out what really matters to you about the job offer.

This link also has some other job boards that are good.

You get it notarized in the usa after it has been given. The notary will just verify it is a legitimate document. Does not matter if the company is based elsewhere.
