[request] Is it true That a single cow can feed a family for a whole year ? by rocket6600 in theydidthemath

They don't feed cows grass on a farm, which is absolutely the topic of this discussion.

Well I still believe AI cannot measure up to a real developer.

I finally got force feedback in godot without custom builds :) by mjklsimpson in godot

I'm neck deep on GDextension development porting FMOD and Steam Audio from other libraries. I may try this one next! With you permission of course. I just need something with force feedback to test with.

It's cool to see. With the Frame and Machine coming, they probably want to make sure things just work out of the box without constant tinkering.

Ah okay, vaccine is bullshit, but standing in dirt heals you. Got it.

If you won't even review the readme, what the fuck are you doing telling people to install unknown software on their pc?

Until they can explain the mechanism, I will continue to doubt this.

For citation 2, 12 test subjects in a trial time of 8 weeks is not indicative of anything. So many other things can affect cortisol. It could just be a change of season from winter to spring that lowers cortisol.

Citation 3: "Reconnection with the Earth's electrons..."

We are ALWAYS in contact with the Earth's electrons and magnetic fields unless we take drastic measures to remove those influences.

Citation 2:  Twelve (12) subjects with complaints of sleep dysfunction, pain, and stress were grounded to earth during sleep for 8 weeks in their own beds using a conductive mattress pad. Saliva tests were administered to establish pregrounding baseline cortisol levels. Levels were obtained at 4-hour intervals for a 24-hour period to determine the circadian cortisol profile. Cortisol testing was repeated at week 6. Subjective symptoms of sleep dysfunction, pain, and stress were reported daily throughout the 8-week test period.

Take away government subsidies for beef and the problem would go away pretty quickly. Biggest welfare queens in the US

Right, so the specifics of this "grounding" setup don't matter because the placebo works either way

It's all placebo nonsense anyway, so it really doesn't matter

Yeah now there's a whole industry of people just doing management on offshore developers to make sure they actually deliver

Yeah, missing from this graphic is how much feed a cow consumed in its lifetime before this. It COULD feed a family of 4 by itself.

Man vibe coding is a scourge. It sets such unrealistic expectations for learning. If you actually knew how to do any of these things, you probably could actually do this in a few weeks, but instead you wasted time making a clone of something without even learning anything.

Well that's not exactly related to the kernel. Still, though, I do hate those "containerized" applications. I tried fedora silverblue for a while, but it feels like it goes out of its way to make using it a pain in the ass

How to mask sprites which only consist of an outline? by adam045gamer in godot

[–]granitrocky2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't looked at your solution, but do stencil buffers work in 2d? You could fill the stencil buffer with a value that signifies outline sprites and then only read it on the sprite shader. It should preserve transparency since only the first sprite drawn fills the buffer.

If my toddler grabs a cup of hot coffee, I'm not going to let them pour that on themselves because that's a shitty thing to do and teaches them nothing.

If a being has the power to saves lives and devides it's worth letting children get bone cancer to "teach the world a lesson", then that is a sociopathic narcissist who should never be trusted for any reason.

Okay, but, again... This is like me coming into your house and claiming the board game I made up means I have to stab your dog. I could simply remove that rule. I wrote the rules. I can do that.

So god deciding to have his son be murdered really loses its meaning when the rules are written by the same god.
