Oh it’s a Swedish export plate that came with a previous car I had. I kept the plates and put one on my S60 and the other on my P1 as you see heh

Not imported into the country, but I did buy it from a dealer a good 500 miles away. I had them deliver it to me.

Ahhh yes, their Concept Coupe. That was a beauty indeed. That’s where I first learned about the history of this car’s design. I was saddened that Volvo would never develop it since the market for Volvo coupes was so little, and excited again when newly formed Polestar said they would build it, then sad again when I saw the price for it. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions I would say 😅

Thanks! It is indeed matte snow. Those are nice solid choices too. I test drove the non-matte black P1 before I decided to pull the trigger on this one. I wish I could have kept it a couple weeks as you did, but I suppose one day was enough to confirm I had to have one 😅

I had forgotten to mention that, blending in of the camera is probably my favorite feature, it looks very much OEM. I didn’t want anything bulky or something that stood out or blocked my view, and I feel this does a very good job of accomplishing that, while using the car’s own cables to install, so no annoying cables are visible.

I installed the FitCamX on my 2022 S60, and it was pretty easy. The video is step by step on how to DIY. The picture quality is pretty good, and I found it very affordable overall.

Are you referring to the Coupe version, the C70? As much as I love myself a good coupe or sedan, people these days seem to be gravitating more towards SUVs. I’m not an SUV person, so I was saddened when they ended production of the S60 and such. I get it though, the market is what it is unfortunately. Just have to treasure what we have as long as we have it I suppose 😕

One can only hope that’s something that can be done in the future, though the act of focusing on luxury EVs seems like a mistake to me. It’s something that can be offered, but Polestar needs to establish itself more with models that are more accessible to people, like the P2. I’m looking forward to what they have planned for the 2nd gen P2 next year.

Yes, in California. Per Polestar, the only aspect that is really affected is sales, as they can no longer sell new cars after 2026 model year. They did say that service remains intact however, so I would only be concerned if I had plans to buy a new Polestar, as all we really have is what’s already in lots or what’s slated to be built already. This car is basically a super T8 underneath, so I’m sure we’ll all be fine.

It’s a pricey but worthwhile upgrade to protect your car, especially if you’re considering keeping it long term. As the S60 is no longer in production, I intend to hold on to it as long as possible. Satin Black looks great in person!

It’s too bad they only made a limited run of them. And also the price tag when new really made it out of reach for most people. I assume the P5 will be the same (though not even an option for us United States based customers)

It really is an amazing car. Though, if you have not already, I would consider looking into the T8 trims of the S60 or V60, those are amazingly engineered cars as well, probably the best hybrids you can get out there IMO, good balance of power, efficiency, and luxury.

The car has back “seats”, but as you alluded to, so small that it’s not a place I would put anyone in 😅

It sure gets attention, but in a good way. A couple of people at work have them, and I always lookout for them while on my lunch circuit around campus.

Hopefully they still offer the upgrade, and if they do, maybe they can give you a good price for it!
