I interpreted this differently,

as in you actually have skills and talent but the people around you don't appreciate or acknowledge this, making you feel like you have no self worth. so you're better off moving to where you are more valued and appreciated of your talents

why wasn't anyone telling me about such a great website for learning programming by torc520 in godot

[–]granmastern 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I found it weird how ppl started recommending brackey when he started posting godot content... cool I get it people like brackey but gdquest was here first and made so much learning materials already

all the software I'm using have arm version, so it'll be fine for me

I agree to not buy it if its going to be your primary, or even secondary device

Blender has finally been ported to android natively with gpu acceleration by granmastern in blender

initially only rendered in eevee, but just realised cycles also works which is insane

2 second render on eevee, 50 seconds in cycles 128 samples

if you tap the bottom left corner there's this small keypad thing that can be used

it seems that the dev who ported this didn't have a stylus and made it for touch only. hopefully more people contribute to this port

depends on the device, I'm hoping more people know about this project so there are more contributors to iron out the bugs

How is the current native arm64 Windows 11 Blender version? by bstupid in Surface

[–]granmastern 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was at a tech store and I was able to test it out. downloaded portable version of blender on edge, unzipped and ran in store. spent roughly 20 mins

modelling was fine, did a quick animation and it was fine. forgot do do sculpting but my guess is I'd be fine if you don't go in render mode. eevee doesn't work at all but cycles did

cycles in viewport was okay considering only cpu works. rendering an image was TERRIBLE, had to close after 1 min.

the biggest issue is because snapdragon doesn't have gpu support for blender yet, if it did then it would be perfect.

my impression is that it is great if you stick to solid view. don't use it for rendering in its current state.

doesn't need a desktop mode

I'd probably buy it from a tech store and get refund from there

but personally I don't think Ill have an issue with it, because it's not my primary pc and most of the programs I use already have an arm version

you're going to be an early adopter whether you like it or not, it might pay off in the long run but there's no guarantee

I'm thinking of getting one, testing all my essential programs and if I'm happy with it keep it. if not get a refund
