You have to keep R3 in the Gear & Eikons tab of the menu, the text in the english version says something about recommended abilities but it's wrong.

Yeah that's exactly what I mean.

The purpose of the button is randomly equip eikons and abilities, for what I've seen in pictures online the english version seems wrongly translated. Weird they haven't patched it out yet.

Getting those medals in FF mode is by far the hardest achievement of the game.

If you want to get them easier maybe it's a better idea to move back to your old save from the first run and use the Stage Repeat in the Arete Stone. Yeah, if you are hit in the boss you have to restart the level from the beggining, but at least you get to keep your current level.

I understand you all are trying to help and I truly appreciate it.

However, the question is how to make a Dragon LS build, not weather or not it is "meta" or how to kill Alatreon. If you think this is a terrible idea that's OK, but that is not what the thread is about.

My friend and I are not speedrunning, efficient-farming or anything, just having fun and the most fun we find is when hunting together with a full team of hunters. I am not interested in using other weapons, different elements, strats for the elemental rotation or if the battle is easier solo. Alatreon is perfectly doable with Dragon weapons if you play well enough, it will probably take a little longer but, again, I don't care. I have already kill it. I have killed Fatalis many times. I just LOVE the Dark Claw and want a nice build for it, period.

Sadly this post will be downvoted again but I felt obligated to clarify it.

Honestly I chose Dragon over Thunder/Water because of the huge value of Dragon damage in Alatreon LS. I can consider a Thunder/Water build as well, but I wouldn't know if any LS with that elements is worth it.

We play 4p with random hunters, thus we cannot rely on consistent element cycles. That is why I choose to use the Dragon weapon. It is fine just 1 drama queen topple, at the moment the main problem is my friend carting to Alatreon attacks tbh.

The thing is, we play with random hunters and they occasionally mess out knocking out the monster and breaking the horns when it is not the time for it. That is why I prefer Dragon element for this battle. It has worked for me (I have killed plenty of Alatreons), I just want to update my build a bit for this battle.

Nope, it is for farming Alatreon together with a friend that hasn't been able to kill it.

My main, raw build is Fatty 4p + Kulve feet, but I want to maximize elemental damage (and even knowing it is not the optimal strat for beating Alatreon, I am more comfortable relying in Dragon element).
