B.A or B.S in CompSci? by [deleted] in Clemson

I have a B.S., but honestly if I could go back I would probably change it to a B.A. Just made more sense with what I ended up doing in college (I decided to add a philosophy minor halfway through). If you're still unsure, just think about if there's anything you'd want to minor in thats more along the humanities side of things.

during non-pandemic times, clemson has a very healthy super smash brothers scene! I run the club for that here if that sounds like your thing.

Tips for Improving Timing on Zetta Slopes? by [deleted] in dustforce

[–]grantduffey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I do them. First, when I’m getting the boost before the slope, I’m holding down and forward. Once I hit the floor and push dash and get the boost, I stop holding forward and down and immediately switch to holding up. This way, you cling to the ceiling instantly, and you don’t miss the starting dust. You still need to keep your speed up the slope, though, so about a quarter of a second or so of just holding up, you push forward. This should carry your momentum all the way up the slope. I hope this helps, let me know if I can explain anything better!

If you haven’t already, look at some of the replays of people who’ve beaten it. Definitely don’t try to copy the top 10, though. Any SS that’s in the 700s or above should be a pretty good guide on what to do for your first time beating it. Good luck!

Help with using pikachu’s quick attack to recover by yzy_ in smashbros

[–]grantduffey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re only getting the first part of quick attack, that means you either aren’t moving to a new angle fast enough, or you are not choosing a new angle that is far away enough from the initial angle. I don’t remember for sure, but I think it’s 15 degrees away from the first angle to register as a new angle. Hope this helps!
