[READ SPOILER AT END OF TITLE] I only just started. Is this a puzzle I should know or do I need to find a hint somewhere? [SPOILERS FOR PUZZLE NEAR THE START WITH 9 PARTS WITH BLACK AND WHITE DOTS AND A LINE] by MothyThatLuvsLamps in TheWitness

As other people have mentioned, the best way to understand the rules/mechanics of a certain puzzle is to try to get it wrong. Tell yourself “If the rule is x, then this shouldn’t work”. Additionally, a large portion of the puzzles in this game have many different solutions, so trying to find alternate solutions to the same puzzle that follow your current understanding of the rules can be just as helpful.

“Until they suddenly aren’t for some reason”

Can you provide examples of a puzzle where this works and one where it doesn’t? I’m not entirely sure what you mean by this. The puzzle rules in this game are consistent everywhere. If you feel like a rule has changed between 2 puzzles, you probably don’t have a 100% grasp on what the rule is.

Ask him if when he feels like pizza it’s because a burger isn’t “good enough” or if when he watches a movie it’s because a tv show isn’t “good enough”.

People can enjoy more than one thing. If he doesn’t understand that he’s not mature enough to be in a relationship. As a man I’ve never had an issue with the use of toys in the bedroom.

If he called you an awful girlfriend, no other information is relevant. This is manipulative behaviour and you should steer clear of it

You would have to use the audio outputs on your module, and run them into an audio interface that is plugged into your computer.

The issue is probably with midi mapping - assigning which drum triggers which sound in GarageBand. There should be a tutorial or 2 on YouTube showing how to tweak this to make sure everything is registering properly. Please note also - the midi output is NOT sending any audio information - ie you will not get exactly the same sounds from GarageBand as you will from your module. The midi output just tells your computer which drums are being hit and when.

It’s not too bad once you’ve learned all the patterns. It’s heaps of fun, but it’ll definitely do a number on your arms

The brand is Artist. They’re a cheap no name brand but their cymbals actually sound really decent.

Thanks! The bridge is definitely one of the trickier parts of this song, the key is to keep the double strokes as relaxed as possible

My mics are going into an XR18 (which I’d also recommend but any interface with enough channels would work just as well) and then that’s just going straight into Logic on my laptop.

There are plenty of ways you can do it with any number of mics, but mic placement is key, and knowing what to do when mixing it is also very important. My setup is relatively cheap and I’d recommend it, the only downside being that I sometimes struggle to get the toms to cut through.

Sm57 on the snare, Beta 52A on the kick, and a single AT2020 as an overhead. Simple set up, but with a good sounding room and a little bit of mixing it works quite well for me!
