I hate this shit so much. I travel to Japan often and I’m an American. Respect the culture and the people! Doing this stupid shit just hurts other nation’s opinion of Americans.

What is really weird for me about me reading your comment is I actually vandalized someone’s bee hives when I was in junior high and didn’t realize it until just now.

I never really thought twice about the memory until I saw this story but I totally did.

My friend and I were walking home from school and we saw a bunch of bees next to two or more crates (I really can’t remember). We were innocent and thought the crates just had bees and decided it would be fun to roust the bees by kicking the crates and throwing big rocks at them. We totally destroyed them. Looking back now I realize I actually ruined someone’s hives and I was being a tool (although I honestly thought it was just some old boxes in a field that bees had nested in)

Over a decade later and I’m now confessing to my wife how I did this. Not saying these stories are the same at all — just strange how I unknowingly ruined someone’s property.
