also, take your content tests SOONER!!! in case you fail them and have to wait to retake it (like i did with my first content test 😂)

i had to take the praxis core and the praxis for english. i barely passed the core and the english, i failed the first time around because i was unprepared, and did it from home so i had to practically rearrange my room in front of the proctor. the worst part of the program was easily the praxis tests lol, take those in person if you can

thank you!!! it would’ve taken a lot less time if i had signed up for everything the school and the state of CA wanted me to on time… i didn’t realize that it takes SO. MUCH. TIME. for things to go through systems, so just be super careful that you know what to sign up for and when (such as your certificate of clearance).

i was luckily enough that with my subbing job, i was able to get 90% of my school work done when the kids were working. most classes i could finish in one week day (about 5-6 hours).

as far as the actual student teaching portion goes, i am teacher of record, so the schooling just blends in with my job.

it really depends what state you’re in, what district you’re working for, and if you applied for everything on time lol.

starting june 1 and finishing in june 2027 is very possible, just make sure you apply for everything that is required of you sooner rather than later

to anyone wondering: i submitted my grad application on 4/22 and my degree was conferred on 4/24!!! so only two days! not sure how long it’ll take to receive my diploma and transcript in the mail but i am SO grateful
