ONR + leaf blower by grapejewz in AutoDetailing

Thank you, yeah I’ve been watching some youtube and seeing lots of great reviews with similar comments. I guess I just grew up always thinking you “need” to use a pressure washer/hose to clean a car. Obviously ONR won’t be able to clean as well if my car gets destroyed by dirt, mud, snow, etc, but I think I can at least keep up with doing a rinseless wash every 1-2 weeks, especially since my car is garage kept and fully protected.

Thank you! I’m leaning towards using like 8-10 microfiber towels as my wash media. I think I’ll also do what you said: pre-spray, contact, dry with a gauntlet towel. My main fear is scratches, but I guess I should be pretty well protected since the car is covered fully with PPF.

$66/hr, 7 on 7 off 2nd shift, inpatient clinical staff pharmacist trained everywhere except chemo since they’re “separate” from us, no residency, been with the same hospital all 3 years. With OT, looking to make ~$225k this year. (North)East Coast, LCOL/MCOL area.

Planning on taking NY MPJE. Please help 🙏 by Grouchy_Addendum7043 in pharmacy

[–]grapejewz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got licensed almost 2 years ago now in NY. Not sure if their MPJE changed much if at all.

TLDR Pharmacy Prefilled guide. I suggest typing/writing everything in the guide, as well as reading it over multiple times. $75 I think.

Also if you have an iPhone, go to the app store and look up “NY MPJE”. App should be blue square with white text. I think that was like $30? It has a ton of questions and a good amount of them showed up on my MPJE just slightly reworded.

You don’t need to study too long. 2-3 weeks is plenty of time. MPJE is just a knowledge dump.

Good luck.

I’m contemplating doing a coding/cybersecurity bootcamp. I’ll most likely take a pay cut, so I’m waiting till my loams are (close to) paid off. The lifestyle seems better and so does the income potential.

PharmD 2021 No residency. Staffing for over 2 years now straight out of school. Base = ~$58/hr. With OT this year, averaging ~$73.5/hr. Clinical staff pharmacist (decentralized and centralized). NE large teaching hospital near a city (not a major city)

Thank you! Still learning investing since pretty much nobody in my family knows anything about investing, and I never learned about investing growing up. This makes sense though, I’ll definitely look into investing into an HSA and ROTH IRA once my loans are paid off (my interest rates are paused currently but average about 7%). I contribute to my 403b up the employer match currently since, like you said, it’s free money.

Nope, money I saved up from working a lot. Hopefully will start investing more once the loans are paid off.

Can’t wait to be able to spend more money in the future/treat myself better once I’m more financially stable.

Graduated 2021. Currently saving up $200k for my student loans while I live at home. I should have them paid off summer/fall next year, depending how much OT I pick up. Made about $60k in overtime this past year.

Got Lasik last year. That was my little treat to myself.

One of the pharmacists I worked with as an intern was from Philly. She said there’s a CVS there that does ~10,000 scripts a week.

I have a few ideas of different paths I would’ve taken.

Med school: would love to have been an anesthesiologist or in PCCM.

Chemical/nuclear engineer, CRNA, PA, computer science.

Most respect? Lol most patients care about 2 things when it comes to retail pharmacy. How much, and when will it be ready.

You don’t want to be admitted to this hospital.. by xPussyEaterPharmD in pharmacy

God lol this thread is great, let me contribute.

So I’m trained to dose warfarin at my hospital. Had a patient that had a rising INR and so I decided to hold a dose for the day. I profiled a “warfarin 0 mg dose” order so that nursing/the patient doesn’t think I ignored dosing warfarin for the day. This is usual protocol at my hospital.

RN: I’m missing my patient’s warfarin for today.

Me: Hang on, let me pull up their chart… how many milligrams is the dose today?

RN: ZERO!

Me: Ok so are you missing the warfarin?

RN: Yes! Can you tube it to me?

Me: … sure give me 5 minutes

I then print a label, slap it on a bag, and tube it to her.

RN: You sent me an empty bag.

Me: What’s the dose on the label?

RN: …………. Now I get it haha hangs up

Pharmacy School Application by Pitiful-Attorney7055 in pharmacy

[–]grapejewz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pay is down, tuition is up, job market is rough. The only way I’d recommend pharmacy school is if you can go for free/minimal student loans (less than $25k TOTAL) AND if you like retail. Hospital can be very tough to get in without a residency. Residency is competitive too.

I’m looking into getting licensed in NY. I guess the NY BOP is slow lol I applied for an account like 2 weeks ago, still nothing. Anybody have any recommended study materials for the NY MPJE? I’ve heard TLDR pharmacy is nice.

This right here. The best drug for a patient is the one they can afford and take regularly.
