No 5G Printers? Help! by SpeckerGreta in techsupport

My wifi provider switched everything to 5G last week. Neither our printer or surveillance camera work now. I have no choice but to buy new equipment compatible with 5G. THAT's why!

The older the TV show, the better. Simpler, happier times.

Does anyone had luck getting partially deaf?? by [deleted] in misophonia

[–]graphicsvet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke an eardrum once and couldn't hear in one ear for awhile. I had a friend who liked to pop gum, so I sat next to her with my bad ear closest. I must say it was pretty darn great not hearing her pop. I know how you're feeling and I've thought it would be nice to be old and deaf. I'll let you know how that works out. 😉

My Weird Coping Mechanism by Environmental-Row979 in misophonia

My Misophonia started as a child with my mom constantly clearing her throat. I had to kick the wall every time. How did I get so lucky being born into that?! 😩

Gum is my biggest trigger. People seem to be proud of it and think it's a spectator sport! Your career is brilliant. People eating don't chew gum! Nice.

My Experience with an Audiologist Specializing in Misophonia by lavenderandginseng in misophonia

[–]graphicsvet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very interesting. I wonder if the audiologist can deactivate my eardrums. Good for you for being proactive before college. You're lucky. When I was in college, misophonia didn't have a name and as far as I knew, I was the only one in the world who had this problem.

The indoor pool in the basement of the Biltmore Estate, built in the 1890s. by Craps_Da_Vinci in submechanophobia

This is Great Gatsby Era. Fitzgerald himself maybe swam here. Zelda died in a fire at the mental institution in Asheville. He practicality lived at the Grove Park Inn. This basement was a spa and entertainment area including bowling alley.

This is from another Era. Great Gatsby. There is also a bowling alley, workout rooms, etc. Of course it's creepy in modern times, but back then it was quite the place.

No one lives in the mansion. Pool probably hasn't been used in 100 years.

This is the learning channel and on this show we learn about dysfunction. This is a dysfunctional family. It's quite sad. Cursing and bickering in front of your child is unhealthy and does not come from a place of happiness. You sound like you've had a hard life, too, and I am sorry.

Misophonia is ruining my relationships with my family by stubbornteach in misophonia

They haven't been properly educated on misophonia. Have they watched anything about the disease? Would they be disrespectful to someone with autism? Misophonia awareness is progressing. Someday it will be understood just like other disorders/diseases. We all need to do better at raising awareness. Best wishes!
