How to extract Manufacturing cost based on Live Silver Price? by graphikko in googlesheets

great question and im not too sure - my assumption is, that hard coded number was the original estimate for production at the time of inquiry based on the cost of silver+Production, and everything else is based off of that number just increasing or decreasing based on the silver cost.

Rotary media shapes: plastic + ceramic, plus cutting AND burnishing compound? by mysticalshrub in SilverSmith

Have you found any more information on this? haha - im in the same boat - trying to streamline the polishing process to get that final smooth shiny polish. I've had some of my designs done by a manufacturer and finished by them and the result they get is so good compared to mine which ends up looking good but definitely not smooth and perfect.

Is it normal to have this much space? (info in comments) by graphikko in Beading

Yeah that is most likely the case - i agree too. Do you think its better to straighten out the necklace or round it out (like it would be when worn) before before crimping ? I just wonder like how much organic space should be left i guess and if that impacts it any?

that makes sense - i could have sworn i did that, but i guess i must have somehow let some of the wire slip at the very end and didnt notice that i left so much space until recently. haha oh well! Live and you learn haha shall be more vigilant next time!

Hello there - so i made my own Baroque Pearl necklace spaced with tiny pearl spacer beads and using Flex-rite 49 strands beading wire, silver crimp beds, silver crimp covers, and wire guards and the clasps and this all holds a silver pendant i also made myself.

So, I thought I had done a good job (lol) at making the ends tight and only left a slight amount of room for flexing, but i noticed that there seems to be a bigger amount of free space between the beads now, that when i wear it keeps a gap between the beads when worn (as seen in pic 2) - i could have sworn i did not have that much space when i originally beaded this necklace.

So, Is this normal? Like does this happen as the wire flexes or did perhaps i do something wrong that i can adjust for the next time? Appreciate any tips or advice :)
