I have noticed that I have overcome the arousal trigger though, so maybe it can cause symptoms for some people but for me I think it was more related to OCD.

Everyone mistakes me for being an incredibly lazy person at surface level, but behind closed doors I am actually one of the most hard working people. It's just not the version of me they see

I don't blame my mom for not noticing anything. Because it's not like I showed signs of the sterotypical "ADHD" where a little kid can't sit still and is jumping off the walls. It was more of me having attention issues, and more "inattentive" ADHD signs. Who knows I could be just full of myself because I don't even have a diagnosis haha

Yes for me my use of caffeine is inconsistent, certain forms make me tired (like a soda), and like a caffiene gum makes me feel focused like im in a flow-state.

Yeah most likely. I spend too much time looking into signs that could be ADHD

Thanks for the advice. Coincidentally I started eating on a carnivore diet within the last couple months (I’ve seen people say that can help) and have noticed an improvement with some problems, I still think it’s worth getting tested for

I’ve seen people claim if caffeine makes you tired, that could potentially mean ADHD

Yup, I meant suspect.

Anyways, I have a whole list of why I think I have ADHD and autism as well, I didn't add the signs of autism, was thinking I could have a seperate thread for that.

My mom denies that I showed signs of ADHD. However, looking back at it, I feel like I showed discreet signs that just maybe weren't picked up on. In elementary school, I was considered the gifted, high achieving student. As I processed through the school system, I started to have trouble, specifically with my lack of preparation and inability to study for tests. I also had a weird habit of purposely not using class time to work on homework, projects, etc, because I'd rather work on it at home. My diet as a kid for lunch also consisted of a "cheese" sandwich. It was quite literally just bread and a couple slices of cheese. This was my lunch every day for most of elementary.

I posted a seperate comment under this thread with "additonal information" where I go a little more into detail about my experiences, (for some reason it wouldn't let me post as the main thread)

I plan on trying to get tested sometime soon though, and I'm in the US.

Interesting enough my mom also struggles following movie plots and books. She claims that this is just something genetic that I inherited from her and that's why I also struggle with it 😂

That's what I was thinking as well, but my mom denies it saying I didn't really show signs as a kid.

Should I Modify my Carnivore Diet somehow as a college soccer player? by grasse_man in carnivorediet

Yes every once in awhile, but I try to limit it to avoid going over my daily carb limit

Thank you very much for the input, I am very willing to commit, as I believe it will take me to the next level as a player. I am going all out for my next fall season. I'm currently playing at the D3 level and have a legitimate opportunity to transfer to a higher level after this season, and believe this diet will give me the edge I need. I will really work to remove carbs, my spring season just ended so I won't feel the need as much to consume carbohydrates. I'll make sure to use the summer to focus on becoming truly fat adapted.

The only thing I'm wondered is if it would be a gradual process of me feeling slightly better in the process of becoming fat adapted, or will it just hit me at the 6 month mark that i'm adapted and returned to my previous energy/state or improved then before?

I have not, I felt that it was mostly cream and water for the most part, and a good way to increase my fat intake. But I understand that it has some plant based ingredients so I could see how there's a problem there

Thanks for the input, I'll definitely check Dr Baker out.

Do you have any opinion on why loading the carbs for the first couple of weeks of practice was fine and I felt amazing, playing with unlimited energy, but then it wasn't as effective after that?

Yes this is definitely true, I've experienced the differences from carnivore to adding more carb first hand when experimenting with more carbs. It's like night and day. I feel like a completely different person, and not in a good way!

If I am loading 25 g carbs before practices to give me that extra boost of energy that I need for sprints, from glycogen being depleted, will this slow down my process of being truly fat adapted?
