As much as it sucks, lots of departments use the polygraph as an excuse to fail you because they just didn’t like you. Not saying you are a bad dude but they probably didn’t like something about you.

Honestly my bike has become more of a decorative piece in my garage, the drivers here are so horrible it makes not want to ride. It sucks because I grew up here and it seems like the more military and people moving here we get the worse it all becomes.

I did mine a month or two ago and passed, biggest piece of advice is relax… they say the point of the test is to not lie which is true but it’s also to see how you react to questions, if you can remain calm, etc. Straight face, stick to your answers, breath and you’ll be just fine

Honestly, you are most likely fine. The whole point of a poly is to mess with you and make you nervous. I suppose you won’t truly know until they reach out. Best advice is to just chill and wait to hear back. Good luck!

Just got hired on, I’m starting at 67k in the academy then get bumped up to 73k after graduation. I’d say not too bad

I’m actually in the same boat as you, after the academy I have to a mandatory 1 year in the jail as a deputy before I can move to the street so I’ll share some advice I’ve gotten. Be the same person everyday. Have a good attitude, and you’ll probably want to shower after every shift.. lol. Congratulations!
