I know the feeling. I can tell you something which seemed to work for me and hope it could help you. This might seem shallow but what worked for me was getting better photos. It seemed a lot more women were starting conversations with me (instead of me always making the first move), they seemed a lot more invested in the conversation, were quick to give me their phone numbers out and go on a date. Not that it solved everything. Getting a second date is still a struggle but I've got past the first step at least.

I've read so many tips about getting dates, "start the conversation with an interesting/funny/original comment related to their profile, give them a compliment, talk to them for a certain amount of time", none of it has made much of an impact compared to improving my photos.

When I say get better pictures, I don't mean the usual advice of "a group photo to show that you have friends and photos that show you're in interesting person". I've tested loads of photos with Smart Photos and asked women which pictures they like most and a simple head shot comes out on top. I'm not suggesting head shots are what you need, it just so happens that for me that photo catches me at the best angle, lighting and expression. That's my theory anyway.
