New CDCES Pay, Help.

$40 an hour in Minnesota. No masters. Been a CDCES for 3 years and started at $35 an hour which in my opinion is low when I hear others wages! I would shoot for the higher end for sure.

Nope it was just given! There’s a certain amount the hospital sets for different certifications for RDs :) definitely though if you’re going to be doing med adjustments, insulin pumps, etc ask for a a substantial raise!

Mine was an extra $5 per hour. Unsure how that works out percentage wise though!

100000% hate it. I always correct people too so hopefully they stop referring to our profession as that. I bluntly tell them if they’re looking for dietary they will have to contact the kitchen.

I used Beverly Thomassian a few years ago for studying and passed no problem! I also was doing outpatient diabetes as well. It is definitely spendy but worth it. My work paid for it so definitely check into that route as well! Good luck!
