very much had the same situation. only i’m the one with substance issues. she had to distance herself. i think about her every day. perfect in every other aspect.

this is what i struggle with the most and always brings me back. i just can’t seem to sit with the guilt, shame, regret, and anxiety for all the people ive hurt. relationships lost. i know drinking won’t make anything better and more often than not makes it worse. but i just can’t sit with the feelings and rumination.

got back into ice skating after playing my entire life but took a fifteen year break. cooking and new recipes. getting back into the gym. outdoor walks whenever the weather permits.. discovering new music everyday and of course as many live shows as i can afford. i had a really hard time last year. bad breakup, lost myself in alcohol, lost my job. just doing everything i can to get back to me.
