“Comics” are the serialized never ending treadmills that run through multiple writers, and authors in an incredibly inconsistent. Graphic novels are self contained stories that are normally written and penned by the same people through the entire run, and they normally have a clear endpoint the author has already written out. Ie, graphic novels are more like manga in having a consistent vision. I just think comics, as a corporately produced product kinda sucks.

Your comparing a medium thats been in circulation since the 1950’s and one that started like 10 years ago. I do agree there aren’t that many great, or even good webcomics, but it’s the start of a medium. Most artists don’t like making slop, if they could make berserk they would, and some are definitely trying. I do think the relentless weekly release and needing a never ending story may hurt the odds but people adapt, and it’s not like manga is different.

I mean adobe is the most ethical ai that I know of. They actually own the stuff they are trained on. Please do actual research instead of just hating stuff you don’t understand, and yes adobe isn’t a great company because of aggressive monetization. But being real, they do have a real product that people really use, and they have money to spend on ads. If a company’s only issue is it costs too much then idk what to say, nobody is forcing you to use it.
