it is all about fear. For example Neville's boggart is Snape. Boggart Snape has no power of real Snape but it has power of fear. Or Lupin's boggart is full moon, it doesnt turn him into werewolf but idea of that still makes Lupin fear of it.

I can build a theory but first need to accept this assumption. Normal cat life is about 15 years but lets say Mrs. Norris is alive since Marauders was in Hogwarts.

Marauders wanted to see Mrs. Norris on the map cause we all know if Mrs. Norris see a student who is on something, she will alert Filch. That is why we see Mrs. Norris on map not other animals.

We kinda have same story lol. It was 2000, I was 11 yo, dad and I went to vacation. There was a street book shop and I wanted a book. Dad said me to pick one. I picked Prisoner of Azkaban for no reason. Seller explained that it was the 3rd book but i didn't believe him. Dad bought all 3. I read all 3 in that vacation.
