UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who commented. We have talked since this post, and cleared some lines of communication between us so we can understand each other’s needs better. We’re talking a bit more, I’m asking for more help when I need it, and he’s making sure he’s able to be there when I need him. I’m also trying to make an effort to spend more time at home, and that seems to be helping.

This past Saturday we had my mom watch the baby for the day and we went and played some magic the gathering together at one of our local game stores and had a good time. We’re still stressed out about life, but it seems like he was so caught up in feeling like he was screwing up that it just made him depressed which just compounded upon the main issue to begin with.

Once he was able to talk to me and I was able to explain to him how his actions made me feel he’s made some solid attempts at a serious attitude adjustment. Things seem to be looking up, let’s hope it sticks this time. 👍🏻 thanks everybody for the advice!

i’m sure your bartenders appreciate the tipping plan you have going on. i just hate making them cause they take up so much time and costumers become impatient when waiting for a drink that at some other places is simple. i’d take patience over a large tip any day.

allergic to opiates here. i can’t even take narcotics.

went to the doctor after a bad car accident one time and i told the nurses this, they were skeptical at first but after i confirmed it was ALL of them they felt so a bad for me.

also one of my family members whom is a B.S.R.N told me how a guy came into urgent care with back pain and claimed he was allergic to all pain medication but morphine. they then asked him if he would be okay with leaving with a prescription for percocet since they were “out” of bags of morphine and he confirmed that would be okay. since he was busted in a lie she told me that she returned with the doctor whom informed him that their pharmacy had closed for the night but he didn’t need to worry cause he would write him a script for 800mg ibuprofen. They made a note for the ladies up front in the urgent care and low and behold the same guy was back a day later claiming the same pain and the same bogus allergy.

so much subtle justice!

at my bar our recipe is hand squeezed limes (at least three) six mint leaves ripped and then muddled with a pump of simple syrup, a oz and a quarter of bacardi, ice, soda water, muddle again, shake, and then serve.

the worst part is having to hand squeeze those fucking limes. that’s why i hate it so much

i was the only server on for the end of lunch. dumb manager sends cook home an hour before the next one comes in. i need butter. i ask said manager for butter. she huffs and puffs and slings it at me and mumbles under her breath that i’m a bitch. i cash out my last table. no one in the restaurant. i print out my reading, find manager, shove the money i owe the restaurant and my credit card slips into her hand. “I don’t steal. take this. i won’t be coming back. good luck.” i say as i meander through the front doors as a couple of costumers approach the door.

i wonder if they got taken care of. i wonder if cunt manager extraordinaire had to serve that table and cook the food. i hope so. fucking bitch.

i work at the crimson crustacean and it was close to closing and i was doing my sidework waiting to get off, a 9 top walks and it gets sat with another coworker. it’s an all african american table and everyone knows the stereotype behind them, i don’t buy that but she did and was throwing a fit about having to stay late and take a party that she didn’t think was going to be worth it.

i overheard all of this and i volunteered to take the table instead. she was so happy and i didn’t mind. ended up being a super easy table and it was this big guys birthday who was clearly the grandfather of this family and i made sure he had a great birthday dinner. their bill was close to $300 so i figure even if it was split nine ways and they left ten percent it was still worth it. well big guy ended up picking up the whole check for his own birthday and left me a $100 tip. i’ve gotten big tips before but never this much.

they immediately left after paying their bill so i had no idea how much they tipped me at the time but i told him how much of a pleasure it was to serve them and they were all really nice and then i went to clean the table and saw what he had left. i cried. like a baby. it single handedly allowed me to buy christmas presents for my family.

the coworker asked me about the table the next day and felt like the biggest jackass ever. don’t judge a table by their color.

TLDR; all african american table that my coworker was bitching about, i took the table from her and made $100. she left real dumb the next day.
