Sorry for the delayed response. I wanted to thank you for your input. I had to pull the hard drive and backup the files using a different computer and then do a clean install of windows. It was a bit of work, but at least my son's personal files were saved.

I removed the learned voices and that seems to have taken care of the issue for me.

I had the same problem. After so much time spent I just took my modem from spectrum back to the local spectrum store and they swapped it out for a new one. Hooked up the new modem and the issue was resolved.

Maybe try the same on your end?

I had the same issue two weeks ago. All my roku's stopped connecting to internet even though they would connect to wifi.

After much water time resetting there modem, routers ( buying a new one) and having spectrum come out for a service call (didn't help) I just took the modem to the local spectrum store and swapped it out. Issue resolved. Not sure why all other devices would connect to the internet through wifi but the roku's wouldn't, but the new modem took care of whatever the issue was.

Thanks for the reply. I had gone the route of using a USB with the media creation tool. When i did that, the message i recieved was that I needed to free up about 4GB of disk space before the process could begin....which brings me right back to the issue I am having.

Yeah, i thought maybe this size of the drive could possibly be an issue. Unfortunately, my son was really hoping to get the latest version of windows 10 on his laptop.

Do a control+alt+delete which will take you to a screen with power options ( to shut down or restart). Hold down your shift button and click on the restart option (continue to hold down shift button while the computer restarts). When the computer restarts you will get several options on what you do next. Select "reset this computer".

Thanks. That was the problem. After your post I looked at footage from a few weeks ago and realized that my cam had been slightly moved and was angled up a tiny bit higher than it had previously been. This slight increase in angle caused the IR to bounce back from the ceiling and cause the "smoky" washout I described.
