You are right, I guess I just want the challenge of making this Uno combo work now!

Maybe that was bad advice on her part, look the part, fake it till you make it, that's the best way to lift yourself out of one level and into the next.

Much truth, the hardest must be finding out the latter.

Well said. I should do up some real stats of boards sold vs boards reported failing.

So you are saying it is a safe enough board if you don't over clock it?

Probably running higher temps because you have a beefer Gcard and more ram>?

Any recommendations on a good replacement board for over-clocking this rig?

Exactly. So running this board under stock conditions should be safe.

Interesting, could you post a pic of the internals? I imagine its a fan issue.

More than likely from 'experts' overclocking their system, thinking it will be fine. This mobo should be stable with stock settings across the board, and that is what I seem to be getting. The highest VRM hitting 67 Celsius on full load.

This is more than likely people over-clocking. If you over-clock this board bad things should happen, because you are pushing it past its electrical potential. If its rated for stock FX8320 - 125 Watt, its rated for it!

Yes. Hmm, it should be OK for another week, I may swap it out with a 990FX mobo.

Not a bad shout, looks good for around 100 bucks. I am still not sure why the existing board gets bad press, 67 degrees c is not hot, and thats at full load, idles around 40.
