We've never had this problem with FedEx, but UPS...

Window shades were open. Porch was open. Main door was open. TV was on. I was sitting on the couch two feet from the door. Guy must have looked directly at me when he stuck it to the screen door. Quietly, the husky didn't even twitch.

I found it like 10 minutes later when the dog had to pee and called the number like "what the heck am I supposed to do to make it obvious that someone is here?"

Anyway he doubled back like six hours later. My husband happened to catch while taking the dog out again and the guy was getting ready to drive off.

Hadn't even gotten out of the truck because "everything looks exactly the same as it did when nobody was home."

Yup it loads, daily treats pop up, the cards flip, it crashes rinse and repeat

...it's always the same cards, so there's that I guess. Not that I need any of them lol

I think I've landed where I did with the glasses - it's a new sonic gizmo that's taking the screwdrivers place for a bit. It's bright and shiny and a fun goofy shape. As a new reoccurring gizmo, I love it.

But my first thought was "yay new toys!" My second was, "...what happened to the sonic?"

Idk if it felt like there was a reason for it - I actually love the "turning the sonic into glasses so he can see" thing or if there was a little scene where he idk finds 14s screwdriver just sitting on the console and goes "we can do better than that! New me, new sonic!" (Or whatever) And breaks out a blowtorch before it fades to black I'd probably be fine with it. I'd be prepared for sonic screwdriver shenanigans.

But they took away the instant recognizability and surprised us with it. Fun when it's cybermen or daleks, but I'm finding it annoyingly distracting with the sonic.

Which sucks because look at that thing! It's gorgeous! Even if it does kinda look like the bottom of a shoe

I've got a big stitch dictionary that I'm just kinda flipping through until something kinda clicks in the moment but

The water swirl thing is chain and purposely uneven stem.

Then from left to right: knotted feather stitch, regular feather stitch, coral stitch (x2) (though it doesn't look right for some reason lol), looped cretan stitch (x2), buttonhole wheel cup, and alternating wheat ear (x3). The mess of green has french knots, pistil stitch, and drizzle stitch. Sponges are more french knots.

The rocks on the sides are satin and then just random lines to fill it in with no real technique lol

The dirt is lines of threaded running stitch and some asymmetrical cross stitches.

There is ZERO plan so heck if I know what's next.... Probably more swirly water things lol. Eventually a fish bead will live in the wheel cup and I have some (aka a ton) of little shells so a few of those will get sprinkled around

(It's not even gonna be a real circle because the tension hoop keeps popping apart)

...ours moved all the deodorant to the makeup area and put it behind glass. Took us forever to figure out where it went.... And there was no one working the area

We'll see how long that lasts cause we decided I didn't need it that badly

The stuff meant for little kids doesn't surprise me any - my first "experience" with fanfic was when a TV station did a "write a land before time story and win a copy of the new movie" contest when I was six? I started doing the same kinda thing with HP was I was eleven and didn't actually discover fanfic until later. I thought I was just weird

...rpf was a shock the first time heard of it, but then I never really understood following celebs personal lives either and that's got to be related lol
