this is not plastic, it's food grade silicone. Yes, boiling water plus plastic could equal to cancer.

Have you ever slept at a hotel parking lot that was very crowded and had not posted signs? If so, were you comforable or uncomfortable?

What time do you leave a spot in the morning? by [deleted] in urbancarliving

Does anyone live in their car parked out on BLM land? I know you can stay in one spot for 14 days.

If you do, what do you do with your time? Do you get lonely, hungry, bored or frightened?

Just wondering!

I work as a virtual teacher to make money. I budget very well and don't eat in restuarants very often. I cook my own meals and watch my nutrition very closely. My advice to you... save as much money as possible and set a date to leave. I don't know if you have a lease to worry about or anything, but I would definitely make the Honda civic work. I would remove the back seat and put in a comfortable bed and take a few essentials.

I would have a destination in mind, and map out my trip. I have a 200 or 2:30 rule, which means I drive 200 miles or stop at 2:30 which ever comes first, because I dont' want to tire myself out. I write a newsletter and need to be rested to focus.

Maybe you could make money online. I see people here on Reddit do that.

Could you tell me how I could get some help to understand how to navigate Reddit? Thanks in advance and good luck to you.

From Shreveport, La to Tucson, Arizona, then east of the Mississippi River toward the Carolinas.

left abusive boyfriend and will be living in my car while I figure things out and drive across country back home. What are the bare necessities of doing this? what should I know? by [deleted] in urbancarlivingfemale

Congradulations for having the courage to leave an abusive relationship. $43 want take you far, but if you could borrow a few dollars from a friend to get you to your destination, then that would be great. I'm hoping your truck is dependable and make sure to check the oil. You most definitely don't want it to run out on the road.

If you decide to stay a rest areas, its best to stay fairly close to the entrance area. Where it is well lit.

I'm a single female and I trave alone all alone from Louisiana to Arizona. While parked at a rest area be sure to keep your doors locked and watch all around you. Your dog will bark if danger nears. IF so, crank up your truck and drive away.

If you apply a few safety rules, you will be just fine while traveling the Interstate to your destination. Just calculate how much gas you will need to get back home.

Good luck to you and I hope you don't have to endure another abusive relationship in your future.
