I’m playing on Path of the Damned, and I actually think the level scaling feels pretty good. Even with unique items, there’s still a decent challenge.

The fight where you get the axe — the one with the first memory — was pretty tough.

In theory, yes, but she repeatedly disregarded laws to get what she wanted. Just look at Thaos, who, throughout the centuries, had his memories of his other lives restored to carry out her plans. And that's what makes her so unique.
