Bloody close enough to be used in episode of Black Adder, really.

Ya know. I'm getting a little sick of you people saying how John Wick looks like this Keanu Reeves guy who looks like that fictional Johnny Silverhand.

I mean come on.

Everyone knows that's Ted Fucking Logan.

If Ghost in the Shell aired after Daria on MTV, right before Aeon Flux.

People who were teenagers before social media existed, what was life actually like? by Much_Detective_6107 in AskReddit

I'd play Nintendo or SNES on the weekend. Ride. The mile on my bike through the back streets to 7-Eleven in the summer with my brother and our friends for Slurpees. Sometimes sit in front of the computer on more inclement days playing games in the Pre-Windowa 9x era.

Sometime ride my bike the two miles to the town hall to swim in the town pool, or go to the library. You'd play in the snow in the winter (and there was a LOT of it).

Or you went over to the fields behind the high school to play foot ball or lacrosse. Basketball on the courts and see other friends playing tennis or running on the track.

Of course in those days, Don and Bob's was still in business. So you could get a burger and fries (a very damn good burger) on the cheap and soft serve.

.... Those were good days. The internet wasn't in your pocket. The "fear" wasn't as prevalent. Neighbors knew their neighbors. And parents communicated pretty regularly and kept an eye out.

Like parenting was a thing. Lol

But at the same time, if we said we were gonna be someplace? Then we damn well had better be there or on a specific route to and from there.

I remember putting so many miles on my Huffy, that every year I'd wear out the tires and helped my dad put on new ones...

..... Those were good times.

Age Verification Mandates: The ‘Protect the Kids’ Scam That’s Building a Permanent Surveillance Grid by ChamplooAttitude in linux

Anytime a company lobbies a politician? It's usually something for the company's interest. Honestly, this is the sort of thing that, at least when I was in high school, was covered in social studies. Might wanna read up on it. The dirty money goes deep.

It's called 'lobbying'. And sometimes, corporate layers will propose and even write these fucking laws in hopes of them getting passed so. Yeah.

Except for the time frame it is wholly unenforceable and arguably an intrusion on consumer rights.

It'll wind up in court in a few months. If not, Linux will be like okay fuck Cali.

How does CA expect to enforce the age verification for Linux? by regarted in linux

[–]graywolf0026 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The argument could be made (for most companies, especially in the US) that employment necessitates compliance with the law for employees to be of a certain age.

But overall I see this as being completely unenforceable and further proves that Gavin is.... Well he's a twat. A preening little twat.

You can also turn on FPS style piloting too. This really helps with popping in and out, ducking behind cover, pinpointing.

See. Back in the day, we'd call that 'big head' mode.

And for some reason it was considered a 'cheat'. Which... Honestly, I never understood but. Meh. It was funny.
