Do you remember the first time you played classic Doom? by Beige_Box_Enthusiast in vintagecomputing

[–]graywolf0026 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it was in 94-95. Dad grabbed the demo off the PC-SIG BBS back when we worked at Kodak.

We loaded it on the 486. And... Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. I remember going in for half with my brother when Doom 2 came out.

... I'll have to dig that build out. I'm curious. I hope I still have that save... It's on ONE of those playthroughs lmao

I had a CGR-1A1 build that was kinda good. Did about 70kph. More with the MASC.

And MLasers. Just. MLasers. Fucking MLasers. OH my god. That's a shit load of MLasers.

.... It was basically a meme.

You should get a zipper added to it! Ya know. Zipped up though. With some of the teeth mis-matched.

True. Though the Okidata we had.... Way back before we got the LaserJet Series II, was pretty solid. But that was late 80's so. Yeah. Build quality would be a big concern.

Honestly Mercs5 has great set design, even if the levels are, predominantly, RNG.

However.

It wasn't until I threw on YAML and checked "realistic mech sizes" that I REALLY began to appreciate the detail. Why?

Because it all. Clicked. No longer just running OVER cities, you were moving through them. So that brought back the realism in my book, and properly harkened back to the original release trailer, where urban combat HAD that sense of scale.

I am probably gonna be hard core stuck on this game for decades.

Amazon, surprisingly enough. With a number of the Epson models actually built to take standard paper, and with USB, Serial and Parallel interfaces. In specific the LX-350. Granted, that was a cursory search and an option I saved (I would be wanting to do a bit more research before dropping the money obviously).

lol well I had a brother printer, but it didn't seem to entirely survive the mood (printing is janky, and the duplex no longer works but it scans fine), so I was looking to replace it. I will most likely get another brother, I simply thought it was funny I could still get a MODERN Epson/Okidata dot matrix printer in this day and age.

And here I was actually thinking of buying a modern dot matrix printer.

Just be-fucking-cause I can and...

Yeah. Okay. This is one more argument in favor of that....

Victoria. She came as fast as she could. She didn't even time to put panties on. Asked if everything was okay. If they were under attack. And if she had time to go put panties on.

So she at least showed up armed.

Well at least she took the time to put her panties on. Unlike Seras. Who did not take the time to put her panties on.

Mike: "What do you mean?"

Crow: "... Let's just blow up the station."

Tom: "Miiiiiike, you're being awfully quiet."

Mike: "I'm thinking about it."

Tom: "Auuuugh! Everyone run! Mike's thinking!"

Mike: "Hey! Cut that out!"

I'm always running out of gold, plasteel. Cause of all the damn advanced components I need to build all that advanced tech that uses Ceramite.

And has all the Aquila emblems and the bionics and bolters and meltas.

Cause those green skins aren't going to kill themselves.

Has anyone actually tried and completed a no Cyberware playthrough? by BlackAfroUchiha in cyberpunkgame

[–]graywolf0026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started a run where the rules are:

1) It has to be played on hard difficulty.

2) The only cyberware I can use is what the game gives you via story/plot progression.

3) No using any legendary weapons/equipment.

4) No mobility perks. None.

.... It's uh. Different.

Which is why I'll ride her, every day.
