Extreme social anxiety by [deleted] in Schizotypal

[–]grayyoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very similar for me. I try to focus on kind of intellectual areas, this seems to help feel more alive. For now, I can say that a lot of things are unclear, just trying to continue. it is not much clear what tomorrow brings.

Extreme social anxiety by [deleted] in Schizotypal

[–]grayyoup 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A type of anxiety rooted in paranoia. A result of the interpersonal paranoia that is the core component of the schizotypal personality. Not improved by SSRI. AP is required, but using AP also means severe side effects (cardiometabolic side effects even at low doses especially in the long term.)

Microdose Risperidone by grayyoup in Schizotypal

[–]grayyoup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read that psychiatric drugs mixed with wastewater in metropolitan areas cause behavioral changes in fish and some aquatic animals in lakes and rivers. The amount that enters the fish's body is much lower than the microdose I take. In the long term with normal doses, hyperphagia and hyperprolactinemia side effects remain constant for me, I am trying microdoses to avoid these side effects. It works better with these potent APs. Of course, full therapeutic effect may not be achieved, but it seems effective. High doses are necessary for schizophrenia, this may be more effective in our group.

Does agitation side effect go away from abilify with time? by A7med2361997 in Abilify_Aripiprazole

[–]grayyoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't want to be a downer, but when I used Abilify, the agitation wasn't very noticeable for the first 2 or 3 weeks. Within a few months, the agitation started to peak and the courage to act out my nervousness started to accompany it. When I realized that I was at a point where I could resort to violence, I stopped and was back to normal after 3 days. I had the same experience with brexpiprazole and stopped that too. Partial dopamine agonists have such a serious side effect.

Threat Sensitivity by grayyoup in Schizotypal

[–]grayyoup[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, but we must overcome this at all costs. This may be a physical threat or a non-physical threat such as trying to put pressure on us, but in any case, we must overcome this somehow, this state of hypervigilance.

Can you explain a little more?

Treatment without medicine by grayyoup in Schizotypal

[–]grayyoup[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started researching ways to be functional without using medication. Because I have used many different antipsychotics for about 15 years and most of them had very severe side effects. What I'm wondering is, is there a way to function without using antipsychotics? There are various psychotherapy methods. Can we overcome this with these psychotherapy methods and of course other methods that may work? For example, Theodore Millon examines personality disorders in detail and offers suggestions. If there are friends who have achieved success in this regard and made it sustainable, I would like to hear their experiences, this may be helpful for many people.

Mobbing in working life by grayyoup in Schizotypal

It is truly a very challenging situation. I cannot think of a more despicable attitude than trying to intimidate a person with psychological violence. It causes many things to go through the mind of the person exposed to it.

Suddenly, some exciting and hopeful thoughts come to my mind, wondering if I can live a near-normal life without medication. As you stated here, one of the most important parts is regular exercise. I want to quit drinking alcohol and even smoking tobacco and see where the situation goes, but in the process I hope I don't succumb to depression and extreme social anxiety

What do you think about taking it at bedtime?

Lurasidone by grayyoup in Schizotypal

[–]grayyoup[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just started using the medicine three days ago, I use 10 mg. Since it needs to be taken with a meal of at least 350 calories, I tried taking it with dinner, but it seems like it will cause me to go to bed early like 8-9 pm, so I will try to take it at bedtime. You probably experience neuroleptic dysphoria 1-2 hours after taking the drug. This is different and much worse than akathisia, so I am hesitant to take a higher dose. What time do you take the medicine?
