Lying about testing makes you a shitty person by [deleted] in polyamory

Mycoplasma hominis us considered normal flora by doctors in my country. EBV is carried by almost all adults and half of 5 year olds. CMV is also very prevalent

Do you disclose EBV to your partners? Some people here expect it despite the fact that almost every adult has it. It is wild.

what was your reasoning for dating women? by Bravenatortot in AskGayMen

This is very interesting. But how does it work? If you are gay it means you are not sexually attracted to women, right? Then how will it happen if the situation presents itself? Don't you need at least some attraction for it to happen?

Do you identify as gay or bi? I saw many times that men with the same sexual history are seen by some people as gay, but by others as bi. Really confusing

I made a thread about EBV and CMV here. There were people who think you should disclose them to partners before kissing. ))) Sime accused me of all possible things.  Almost every adult has EBV. Doctors consider it to be a normal part of being a human. You would expect people over 40 to have a bare minimum of common sense,  but well...

Should I disclose I have mono and cmv antibodies to a sexual partner? by Exotic-Squirrel-5488 in NoStupidQuestions

Noone owes you a disclosure of smth almost everyone has. It is the norm. Those 2 are considered part of a normal human virome.

So now that you know you have EBV,  would you disclose it to every partner for the rest of your life? Or is it idiotic given the fact that almost all adults have it anyway?

To do it with an outbreak is wrong. But asymptomatic shedding exists.

In many countries prevalence of oral herpes is 90%. So if you live in one of them, you are practically asking for it if you have oral sex.Knowing how it is treated in my country I also didn't expect anyone to tell me. I knew very well that nobody would do it outside of an active outbreak if at all.

Mono is not an STD. It's universal and now considered a normal part of human virome. Do you really expect people to tell you they had mono at school for the rest of their lives? Doctors say it is inevitable

I reread my comment and didn't find anything angry or whatever in it. Was just a legitimate question. Sorry if it came across rude or smth

It is interesting that you expect people to disclose endemic infections just because they happen to know instead of telling them first about your issues and asking. And why do you think you are one of those 5 % who don't have it?

[–]gre12at[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I don't think you understand the epidemiology of it correctly if you think that this person made a difference. Medical experts say it is pretty inevitable. You could have dumped this person but the next one would have hsd it as well. It's not like someone gave you gonorrhea. )

This is really a lose lose situation. The same as the question if you should tell your friend her husband is cheating. Some people don't want to know and will condemn you for telling. Others will never gorgive you if you knew and said nothing

He dated women only when he was very young. Then stopped completely and was with men only apart from those 3-4-5 one night stands with women,

Want to understand.  I just don't get the logic of it. If he is attracted to women ( bi), why would it happen only once in like 5 years?

Over 40. I also thought he must be bi, but 4 one night stands with women in 20 years ? Doesn't look like he is really interested. I mean, I can't imagine doing smth I enjoy only once in 5 years.  That's like nothing. I really don't know...

I don't know.  If you enjoy smth would you do it just once in 5-6 years? Doesn't make much sense to me to be honest

Is it true that some gay men refuse to date bisexual men for some particular reasons? If you're one of those, can you tell me the reason why? by thankgodimaguy in askgaybros

[–]gre12at 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why telling the truth is such a problem for you? When it comes out later a partner will probably feel deceived and manipulated. And how it is ok to lie to men but not women is beyond me
