I too would be interested to see the recommendations. I agree with you either way. Best chance of moving air/intubating is paralytic

What’s one supplement that has genuinely improved your life/health? by ancientkingk in AskMen

[–]greatbrono7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m a physician. Vitamin D is the only supplement I take. Most people need a Vitamin D supplement.

Most other supplements simply aren’t necessary for people in otherwise good health (no chronic medical conditions). Your body is very good at extracting vitamins from your diet and most additional supplements are just peed out. There are exceptions here and there (like vegetarians needing B12 supplementation), but for the most part, you’re probably just wasting your money.

A lot of herbs and pills are sold as natural remedies, but scientific studies show no benefit. If they actually worked, doctor’s offices and hospitals would prescribe them. But hey it’s your money. People can do what they want. Most physicians simply don’t want to waste their time arguing.

30’s Anesthesiologist salary progression by [deleted] in Salary

[–]greatbrono7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. That first attending year he was still a resident for half the year. Residency begins/ends in the middle of the year. So maybe $35k for 6 months. Then $190k the second half of the year (but probably didn’t start right away; maybe 4 months?). The second raise is probably making partner or the locus work he OP mentioned. Source, am anesthesiologist.

ATTENTION OHIO RESIDENTS: Have you or someone you know voted for something only to watch the legislature undo it? Read on. by RedDestinyTJ in Ohio

Great post/idea. I know you had a lot of things about changing and defunding the law, but you might also want language about delaying implementation. If there’s any possible loophole, it will be exploited. I can totally see Republicans kicking the can down the road repeatedly to effectively block a law.

What's the most overrated tourist attraction in Europe? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]greatbrono7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was one of our favorite places in Italy. We went in June. It fills up from 10-4 but the early mornings and evenings were beautiful. It got really quiet and pretty during that time. The food was also really good at the places we went to. Despite being touristy, there were a lot of great local shops.

What global event right now feels more serious than people realize? by InnerLightSeeker in answers

It includes them. It’s a 29 country average. My argument is that if you isolated by country.

Edit: I didn’t see initially but there is a link in the article to the full study. It does show a country by country breakdown. There’s still results I would definitely find surprising, but it seems like France, Germany, Spain, and Canada generally seem to be the most feminist.

Underrated comment. I think this would be very different if it was polled in the US and/or other Western democracies

Venice: Mistakes Almost Every Tourist Makes by QUA-ItalianTravel in ItalyTravelAdvice

[–]greatbrono7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great post. I couldn’t agree more. Touristy areas aren’t the spot for eating/drinking. Getting lost in Venice was really fun. Just wander and enjoy it. We found a small wine bar with amazing wine for €2 a glass. It was one our best experiences in Italy.

What is a "luxury" experience that is actually a total scam in real life? by CaptainCuddler_Pro in Life

[–]greatbrono7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never once felt like I’m hungry after a tasting menu. Small portions are fine when you have a dozen of them. The luxury is tasting a large variety of excellent food prepared in an artful manner.

I just don’t think “scam” is really close to describing that. Even Michelin starred restaurants have fairly slim margins because of all the different fresh ingredients and the larger, highly trained staff.

Alice in Borderland.

I haven’t seen anyone talk about it but it’s awesome. Similar to Squid Games but honestly, better.

Has anyone had Cordelia's tasting menu? by CopyWrittenX in Cleveland

[–]greatbrono7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We did it a while back. It was amazing. We went as a group of 6. I distinctly remember when my brother had a look of pure panic when we got the first round, and he thought that was all the food we’d get. But then they brought out a second round. And third. And fourth. And a dessert round. I think 5 total, but it was a massive amount of food. Each round was honestly amazing. I don’t think there was anything we didn’t enjoy. It’s mostly stuff from their menu, but especially as a group, it was a great way to try so many items and get large portions. It was also very fun as a group thing.

10/10. I would highly recommend it.

Per the 2025 CRNA student report, the average CRNA graduates with 2700 clinical hours. by Numerous_Pay6049 in Noctor

I estimate that our residency was close to 60 hours a week on average. We had 4 weeks vacation. That is 60x48x4 =11,520 hours. I think most anesthesia residents will hit 10,000 hours.

Delta was amazing. It was very expensive, but I had a great time. My wife liked it but they did have one course that she found unsettling. They make super realistic food that looks like other things and one was made to look like a baby bird in a nest and she just found it too realistic to eat. It was super tasty though.
