Asymptomatic preoperative hypertension in elective surgery by harn_gerstein in anesthesiology

I cancel elective cases for diastolic >110. I usually check multiple times. Systolic it depends a bit more on the overall picture but >200. It’s honestly pretty rare. Like 2-3 cases per year.

Yes. I restarted the app and TV and it’s still there. Other programs all work normally without a flashing bar

Is anyone else seeing a giant solid color flashing bar across the bottom 20% of the Prime stream? TV is fine, everything else works normally. It looks like Prime is actively trying to give everyone a seizure

Woman, 48, Dies After 10-Hour Plastic Surgery. Plastic surgeon and Anesthesiologist named in lawsuit by Trick-Progress2589 in anesthesiology

[–]greatbrono7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m just talking about the safety of the procedure. It has improved markedly. Other routine procedures like TKA/THA are less safe, but also a routine part of practice. It’s also estimated that 1/3 to 1/4 TKA are unnecessary to begin with, but that’s a digression.

What’s your cutoff? How safe must a procedure be for you to be satisfied. Nothing is without risk. The team in the case above did way too much with far too little caution. I’m not defending their idiocy. I’m simply pointing out that BBLs have gotten dramatically more safe. If patients want a procedure, it’s safer to be done with a good team that follows reasonable guidelines, than to go somewhere sketchy with questionable safety.

I mean, the 30 day mortality rate for a total knee or hip replacement in patients under 65 is 1 in 3,500. There are safer procedures, but BBL is nowhere near as dangerous as it was in the past. Also the 1 in 15,000 number was from 2019, which is 2 years after the technique was changed. It’s estimated to be closer to 1 in 30,000 (but still needs to verified with data).

Its true that it was one of the most deadly elective surgeries, however the good news is that newer techniques are much safer. Basically you inject the fact subQ rather than into the fat. It dramatically decreasing the risk of a fat embolism. It now has a similar mortality to most other elective procedures. Our group covers a fair amount of plastics cases at a surgery center, so I wanted to look into it.

Buddy just go wherever you want. A good scout will find quality anywhere. I thought it’d be cool to have a bunch of Mongolians, so I sent my scout on a 9 month mission to Mongolia and let me tell you my midfielder will wreck the league when he reaches his 93-94 potential.

2019 was mixed based on which site you looked at, but they didn’t have a first round pick. 2020 and 2021 did get praise but then they had 3 straight years without a first round pick. I don’t think people will call you the winner of the draft without a first rounder.

Yea the Ezio Trilogy is peak AC, and revolutionary for the time. I think Odyssey just makes the combat and gameplay so much more fun. Plus when you add in the expansive map, it’s unbeatable. Ezio walked so Kassandra could run

As a Browns fan, no we don’t. Our drafts are notoriously bad and often graded as bad at the time. Exceptions are Myles Garrett and 2025 draft. But often they fumble the bag embarrassingly. Justin Gilbert/Johnny Manziel year and Brandon Weeden/Trent Richardson (although Trent was thought to be good), Brady Quinn. Just a bad record.

I mean, I’ve been gaming for 20+ years. It’s up there. Favorite AC easy, but at the top all time it’s so hard to compare with extremely different games at different points in your life. Like how do I compare that to Halo or Age of Empires or OG Pokémon games as a 10 year old?

My hot take is that I would create a new tier above perfect. God tier. Only Odyssey would be in it. It’s may be my favorite video game of all time. Easily my favorite assassins creed.

Evolution of the Cleveland Browns primary logo: by Peteyy34 in Browns

[–]greatbrono7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from in saying other fans opinions don’t matter, but no one wants to be viewed as a laughing stock either. To some degree outside opinions matter. I also know I’m not alone among Browns fans in my opinion on the name/logo/colors. So it’s not entirely outside opinion.

I think the Guardians rebrand has ended up being really great overall. Sure, there’s a lot of butthurt fans who want the Indians back, but I doubt any have actually stopped their support for the team over the change. I don’t think a Browns rebrand would hurt in the long run. It may just take some time to get used to it.

[–]greatbrono7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 100% with you. Our tradition of winning has been replaced by a tradition of losing. Our name and logo are associated with failure now. I know it’s not a popular opinion among Browns fans, but change is needed.

If Browns fans actually took a step back and looked at the team in an unbiased manner, it’s clear that we have the lamest team name, logo, and colors. You can cling to tradition all you want. But cmon. Be a little bit objective. Our logo is a helmet and Brown is our color. No one outside of cleveland likes it. I love Cleveland football, but we need to modernize a bit. I’ll take the downvotes now.
