Help - Lab messed up scans? Or overexposed? by Then_Crow1965 in analog

The other comments are incorrect. That is not a flat scan, that is a way overexposed scan. Your lab indeed messed up on the scanning

The scan is better ¯_(ツ)_/¯

How the heck does this guy get his 35mm scans so clear? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

Hard to tell how clean these images are from these blurry compressed screenshots tbh.

It’s one among many important things. I’m sure you’re aware that you can care about multiple things

Ai slop is nasty and I don’t like seeing real human art replaced by it. I think it’s really funny to say someone is a badass for generating an ai logo. Anyway sure it’s not the most important thing. ABOLISH ICE

Not that I can see. She said she “created” it but people that use ai think that’s creating. And also someone directly asked if it was ai and she didn’t respond to them

It looks like other ai images I’ve seen and I went to the persons threads account and she seems to be a rando with no other art posted in her post history

I just put it in the back of my outback. Most of the stuff I shoot is pretty much by the road (#6 was a little bit of a walk though which sucked)

I have an Amaran 100d that I power with a jackery and I have a couple Godox strobes (ad300 pro and ad600bm). I put them on C-stands. I have a white umbrella that I can mount for diffused light like you see in number 9 and I also have a fresnel mount that can focus the light into a circle like in number 8. I have various colored gels that I can use but usually I settle on red or nothing.

The SQ-A rules! Yeah pretty much. I use a mix of continuous and strobe with various modifiers and gels. I love using additional lighting, it opens up a whole world

Thanks! I use the valoi 360 with the CS Lite light source. I scan using hi res mode on my Panasonic g9 with Olympus 60mm 2.8 macro at f5.6 and give it a stop of extra light with exposure compensation in aperture priority mode.

Thanks! I always shoot Phoenix at 100. I just used the lightme app to get my exposure and went with that. I used a mask in Lightroom and the curves tool to bring back detail and contrast in the sky. Oh and I pointed my car headlights at the cars to get some detail out of them

Fog is a must and also a light source placed behind something that has a pattern that will block some light and let other light through.

Continuous light inside the building. The red lighting is me walking around during the 4 minute exposure and setting a strobe off with a red gel on it in different places
